An honest review of our 1st Carnival experience

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Sensation

This was our first Carnival experience. I did the research on this boat far ahead of time and knew exactly what I was getting myself and my family into. Having done several DCL and RCL cruises prior we had low expectations, but even this cruise was lower than I expected. Our embarkation experience was awesome as we did the Faster to the fun upgrade. We were checked in and on board Quickly. We were ...

Awful

This cruise has been a horrible experience from day one. EVERY bit of this cruise, with the exception of the cleaning and wait staff, has been awful. I am severely lactose intolerant, and NEVER before have I had the flat refusal to make me something I could eat like I have on this cruise. I have starved for five days. I reiterate, I have paid an obscene amount of money to starve for five days. ...

Old ship, terrible cruise

We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit different islands for Christmas and we had not been to Turks & Caicos or to Half Moon Cay. This was the only option. I have done more than ten cruises in my life, but it was my first Carnival. NEVER AGAIN. The ship is old, the decoration is very tacky, the whole ship smells of mold, sweat and grease. The curtains had poke holes throughout the ship. ...

Worst ship I've been on

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sensation

The entire ship smelled like sewage, which made it hard to enjoy sitting outside at all. Our room smelled. I had a headache most of the time. The door to the dining room completely came off in my hand. There were spit balls on the ceiling of the room, there was a ring in the toilet the entire time as if it hadn't been cleaned, one of the lights in the bathroom was old and broken, the towel rack ...

Just got back from this cruise. I am a platinum member. Worst ship in the fleet. Rooms was terrible. My friends had a hole in the floor in their bathroom. Walking around the ship there was a smell of raw sewage. The ship was dirty and rusty all over. Not like other cruise lines. Seems like Carnival doesn’t care about quality. They just want to offer a cheap cruise to the masses. Took the beach ...

Limited to travel in June I would love for carnival to retire the ship sensation and use a newer ship for This Bahamas destination. I don't have the opportunity to cruise on the newer ships because the cruise line uses the same ships in June to this destination. I take my parents with me and they deserve to cruise on the newer ships. Come on Carnival make that change for my parents ...

We chose to get married on carnival sensation so our family could join us. The package seemed affordable and it advertised coordinators pre-cruise and during ceremony and reception. Turns out the pre-coordinators after only allowed to tell you what you can't do, then you get to guess as to how to plan around that. The only reason our wedding was successful was bc the on board coordinators came ...

Terrible

I have always been a Royal Caribbean cruiser, so I thought I would give this one a try with a friend. That will NEVER AGAIN happen. The ship is old and extremely outdated. The food is absolutely not up to cruise expectations. There is a $20 fee for certain foods (ie. lobster, steaks, etc..) in the dining room. I have never heard of such a thing. The beauty of cruising is not having to deal with ...
