Very old and dirty ship

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Sensation

We booked a couple months in advanced but were still able to get a balcony room. The room was still very tiny. We were on the 5th floor and out floor smelled moldy. There were holes in our curtains and the deck was very dirty. Our room was M245. The cruise director deon was great. There were alot of activities. The food at dinner was great. The breakfast buffet was poor. Half Moon Cay, was a joke! ...

DO NOT BOOK THIS CRUISE! We had a family reunion / birthday party on the ship. The ship/cruise line was picked by someone in the family who cruises often and promoted the trip as a "great deal" . Although I was happy that someone else planned the trip, this is the last trip that family member will ever plan for us...#sensationFail. There was "NOTHING GREAT" about this cruise, and Carnival ...

First, we are avid cruisers with over 25 cruises. Although we take a few different cruise lines Carnival has been the one we have been on the most. We chose this cruise for my wife’s 60 Birthday because it was only 5 days and we had just came back from the Carnival Breeze 7 day cruise 2 weeks prior. Let me say that we knew it would be a small ship and was one of their first, and we tried our ...

Ship: The Sensation is a much older ship. However, this does not justify how dirty and run down it was. The decks needed refinishing, and the public areas were not cleaned or maintained well. As an example, the smoking section was filthy most of the cruise. Even early in the morning there would be plates, cups, and food sitting around (left over from the night before), and the ashtrays seemed ...

If this is your first cruise, you MAY enjoy it. It being our 5-6th time, this was by far the worst. First time sailing with Carnival and might be the last. Trying to be optimistic and blaming it on this specific ship but we’ll see. We chose this cruise because it was going to the two island we were dying to see. Carnival SENSATION sailed to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, and Grand Turk on Sept. 1-5th. ...

Embarkation was smooth as we were priority. we headed towards our room at about 1:30 and wallah, it was ready! Our cabin was spacious, our balcony has seen better days, some of the clothing drawers were broken. Buffet Food: disgusting. I don't understand how people piled their plates with the slop they served. I was getting some fruit one day and one of the workers took the serving spoon ...

My husband and I took this cruise to celebrate our Anniversary. We booked a balcony room and we were excited to go to a couple of islands we had not been to. Let me start by saying the staff and the excursions were amazing - no issues. The staff was very friendly and we had a great time in the ports of call. This review is based on the ship and our stateroom. The ship is old and in need of ...

Family vacation with friends, the cruise was on 4 days , 2 days was at sea with not much todo and one of the days was at half moon cay which was just hanging at the beach all day, no shopping just on the beach! And the free water and lemonade was too far away to walk back and forth! The food could have been better on the cruise, no variety same food everyday! Orlando and Deon were great ...

This is my third cruise, the second with my family. After being on all three line, royal Caribbean, norwegian, and then carnival, I have come to enjoy cruise vacations for their service, food, activities and amentities. For the past five days, guests aboard the carnival sensation were trapped in what I would call a torture vessel due to a ruptured septic system. While i am giving this cruise a ...

Not my first cruise

I chose this cruise because I thought it would be a good way to travel on holiday and I have been on several cruises before and have had very good experiences in the past. This cruise however, was a huge disappointment. I will say that the services in the dining room and the staff that cleaned our room were excellent but that was the extent of it. I preordered a Wi-Fi plan before embarkation ...
