My husband & I had low expectations after reading the negative reviews. We have been on 20 prior cruises between multiple cruise lines. We decided a few weeks out to go on a short winter getaway and this cruise fit perfectly in our time frame. We were both pleasantly surprised with the ship and our cruise experience. The ship had been refurbished in lot of areas a couple of months prior which ...
We had a group of 31 and the intent was for a party atmosphere and fun at sea, this was achieved. You will find this is a very very casual ship. If your your looking for opulence and serenity you may want to consider another ship or cruise line. I’m not a big complainer especially at this price point however these are a few experiences that I found disappointing. The main dining room food was poor ...
We chose this cruise based on price and sail dates. It was Thursday-Monday which made getting off work much easier. I was concerned about the boat after some of the reviews but soon realized it was much better. I think many of those poor reviews come from unrealistic expectations. This cruise was cheap and most people I spoke to booked it for value and in the end, it was a great value.
This ...
We chose this cruise because Carnival gave us casino rates and Drinks on us it also fell on the dates for our anniversary .We have been on 7 cruises now and this was by far the worst but its still a cruise right. This ship has no stabilizers which I didn't think would be an issue we sailed on her before, but this time we had rough seas The bags were out all over the ship our 26 Yo had never sailed ...
Ship needs to be updated. Plumbing problems which resulted in the constant gurgling in the shower. Guest services was very attentive but the problem persisted the whole cruise. A constant banging on the pipes most mornings. That was an irritant. We were on a much needed vacation. Rest was so needed.
Our dining staff was awesome! Our Lido Deck selections were very tasteful. The staff we pass ...
I am embarrassed to admit that this is my 8th cruise, but my 1st review. I finally decided to write a review for 2 reasons. because I have had the benefit of reading other reviews to help me make a decision and also, because I had trouble finding recent reviews of the Sensation.
We did faster to the fun for the first time. Wasn't sure if it was really necessary on a smaller ship but it was ...
I was on the Sensation many many years ago. There was a sale I couldn't pass up. Cost for both my husband and I 377.00 with a 100.00 OBC for an inside room. I did get a call the night before because I am platinum that they had an ocean view no charge for us so I took it. I forgot about the fantasy ship purple and brass. Carnival really needs to do something when they do refurbishments they need ...
Short weekend cruise. Taking my grandson for his first cruise. This was our 5th cruise with Carnival. We have always talked highly of Carnival and enjoy the diversity of age on most of their ships. This ship felt overly crowded. Almost impossible to get to the buffet. Even harder to find a chair by the pool and forget getting in the 1 pool they have available on the ship. The room steward for the ...
I’ve been on a few carnival ships but Sensation would have to be the most boring that I’ve experience. This ship lacked entertainment!!! Although the cruise director Dion was very entertaining and super funny and friendly, the ship did not have much of anything going on while we were at sea... they not only need more shows but more variety. There was one nightclub(hip hop every night) which was ...
We chose this cruise because the itinerary included Cuba, which we wanted to visit. I most likely wouldn't have chosen this ship otherwise. That said, I don't get what all the complaints are about! I'm on my 20th Carnival cruise so I've seen a lot of ships. It's true this one is smaller and doesn't have a few amenities like the Seaside Theatre but it still had plenty of other things you would find ...
