Great staff and wonderful trip.

We chose this ship for the itinerary. The Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska were booked back to back to back for 31 days, same cabin. It was fantastic. The staff were so wonderful. Everyone made every effort to ensure we had a great time, and that we got everything we needed. Our room steward was always there to take care of everything with the cabin as well as keep us up to date on ...

The Legend Continues

We wanted to go on a Panama Canal cruise leaving the west coast and traveling east. We were not disappointed. The ship was beautiful and extremely clean. Seems like someone was always cleaning and polishing. Thankfully even the window were cleaned several times on this journey. That has always been my number one complaint. Well this time those windows were spotless. They must have cleaned them ...

Older Ship, but still very nice.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Elation

The Elation is a somewhat dated ship, and some of the amenities on other Carnival ships are not present on the Elation. Things such as more intimate dining, and some other eateries. As always, he staff were excellent. This was a longer cruise, and after a few days, the food seemed to be a little repetitive. The comedy shows, music, and production shows were all ok. I have seen many of the ...

Not as bad as everyone says.

The Carnival Elation is not as bad as everyone keeps saying. Yes, it is older, smaller, a little worn, a few outdated styles & can feel the waves a bit more than the bigger ships, but I enjoyed the smaller ship with less people on it. I would recommend staying an extra night in San Juan at the Fortaleza suites & explore a bit. The hotel was an experience in itself. We also used Batey Zipline ...

SO SO

Was not very elated with the Carnival Elation. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, 4 ports we had not been to yet. Embark was quick...and pretty painless. They need a new cruise director that might add some lido sea day activities.....absolutely nothing going on....quite frankly...could hardly understand what he was saying when he did come on the speaker.....quite boring. Food was ...

This was the Elation's initial cruise to its new port, Jacksonville, Fl.

This was the Elation's initial cruise to it's new port Jacksonville, Fl. my home town. Our recent ten night cruise on The Elation was a disappointment. Our cabin M-182 was unbelievably noisy , Guest Services was very hard to reach and indifferent. I found the general condition of the ship in need of some tender loving care. The cabin closet and cabinets were the cheapest I have seen in 60+ ...

My partner and I have done 10+ cruises on several other cruise lines including Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and a few others. This Exotic Sothern Caribbean itinerary took us to ports I had never visited. I set my expectations low based on the recent reviews and the general negativity about Carnival from past cruise mates. I am glad to say that we were extremely pleased with this ...

Terrible Ship and Terrible Food

Review for a South America Cruise on Carnival Pride

The food was terrible. The dining room food was cold, improperly cooked, or simply tasted terrible. I apologized to the people at the table for telling the to try frog legs when they came out in a grease filled dish falling apart with no flavor. I told them the chef had no idea what frog legs or did not care. I would have been ashamed to have called that my kitchen. Then there was having to stuff ...

Thought to write a review on our second trip on this boat to Vanuatu and Noumea on Jan 30th 2014.This 11 night trip only provided one of the stops we were hoping for out of 5 as there was rough weather off some ports and we were rediverted to Fiji and Port Denerau..We missed Vila which we liked and Lifou, and whilst we would not recommend Fiji(suva) it was brilliant to be woken(even at 6.45 am) to ...

I'm single & was wanting a budget friendly vacation with some girlfriends. We booked with Carnival Elation for July 2012. I cant think of anything negative to say. Ive never traveled outside the U.S., or been on a cruise. From our hotel stay before the cruise, to the end of our cruise, everyone was very helpful, polite & friendly. We were well taken care of. The food was good & plentiful. Pool ...
