We chose this cruise because of dates, location, and itinerary. The Carnival Magic appeared very run down. Lots of rust and flaking paint. Our cabin with balcony was fine. Lido deck was fine.
The main issue is Carnival taking the "magic" out of the dining room experience at night. We have cruised over 25 years and have seen a steady decline in that experience. Tablecloths and multiple ...
My husband and I had booked this cruise last year but due to the boat catching fire, it was canceled and refunded and a free cruise was given to use before May of 2023. We chose to do the freedom. This is our first carnival cruise but not our first cruise. The staff was friendly for the most part but not exceptionally friendly and we did tip in addition to pre paid gratuities. Our room steward, ...
We were so excited for this cruise since we hadn’t been on one since 2019 (which was on the Breeze). Embarkation was a breeze (no pun intended). Our stateroom was fine. Everything worked + our Steward was attentive. We enjoyed our excursions + the final comedy show in the Ovaiton theater. Now to what was BAD: the food + sanitation!
We should’ve known the food would be terrible when we saw the ...
After having our 2 previous Panama Canal cruises canceled due to the pandemic, we finally made it on board. It was so nice being back on a ship again. This trip was all about relaxation. We turned Platinum on this cruise.
Tampa - Embarkation
The Pride was docked at terminal 3. Tampa is a pretty easy port to navigate. The parking desk is quite close to terminal 2 and 3. Terminal 6 has ...
Defiantly not kid friendly cruise for ages 4 and under. My son is autistic and wasn’t able to experience the full amenities we were told when booking. They won’t allow kids to wear swimmers to get in the pool area or slide. The non American staff members were poorly educated on customer service, lack of communication, basic de-escalation skills, and no compassion for guest.Yet they let adults in the ...
First cruise with my family. I will start with the food, the buffet food no taste at all. It look like the 70's vibes, need to update. The only good spot was the Guy's Burger, housekeeping was great Ari was super sweet and attentive to all our needs. The crew director Dustin kept us on our feet :) his crew was great love the show Flick saw it twice. Shows were great. Our excursion wish they were ...
I booked this cruise for my husband’s birthday. It was his first cruise/time out of the country. Arriving and embarking onto the ship was an easy process. Our first real problem encountered was in our assigned dining room. I ordered the chicken breast which came with potatoes, the potatoes were so undercooked I could not even cut them. We ate there twice and gave up. Breakfast in the marketplace ...
Selected this cruise based on a great casino rate & perks plus port within an hour of our home. The ship is showing some signs of its age and in need of some refurbishing but it was clean, had a fun casino, plenty of dining options and chill vibe. All of the staff no matter which bar, passing them in a hall/lobby were friendly. All of the bars were fantastic but during the day, we never left the ...
We had never sailed out of New Orleans before - was a fast an easy process. Not much standing in line here. Our bags were already at our cabin when we arrived on board at 1:30pm.
We had interior cabin 6245 - typical Carnival layout and furnishings, efficient and clean. Room stewards were amazing. During the evening shows in the theater we would get some noise in our cabin but given we were ...
We chose the Carnival Magic for the itinerary which included the Southern Caribbean islands of Aruba and Bonaire. It hadn't been an issue on previous cruises, but this cruise was short on entertainment during the day. We could only play so many trivia games before deciding to seek a more port-intensive cruise in the future.
Trying to sit by the pool was useless. The passengers were up first ...
