Worst Cruise in 31 Years of Cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

We are Platinum status with Carnival, so we've sailed with them frequently. This cruise was the worst of any -- Carnival or other cruiselines -- that we've ever been on. The ship was SO CROWDED!! The two hot tubs on Lido deck were always completely full; I counted 17 people in one hot tub!! And the music on the Lido deck was so loud you could feel the vibrations. WHY do they think people want ...

Carnival is obviously struggling to pay off its debt from the pandemic. I have never been on a cruise where there was so much disorganization, poor customer service, weary employees, ineffective systems, and general apathy. The Carnival Hub app is not very good. It does not show OBC at the onset of a cruise. It does not automatically transfer casino credits to your account. It does not ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

We cruised on the Carnival Sunshine 3-8 Feb 2024. As a welcome and taste of things to come, we were handeded rum punch in a water bottle that we could keep when we boarded.  Then we were told they were $26.  We handed them back. Our Stateroom Attendant, Komang,  was fantastic.  Very nice, and even remembered his assigned guests by name. I use a CPAP, but there wasn't an electric outlet by ...

Unforgivable

I’ve traveled on other cruise lines and was surprisingly disappointed in Carnival. First of all, I have never been solicited to on a cruise as frequently and relentlessly as when I was on Carnival. It was almost unbearable, and a frustration I heard from many fellow passengers. But the worst critique is at the end. I had my toddler with me. The staff was all wonderful with her. But I had to ...

First time cruiser who was unpleasantly surprised

This was my first cruise and I was really looking forward to it. The excitement was hard to contain. But upon arrival at the terminal I was greeted with aggressive and unpleasant staff. As we were walking from the parking lot to the terminal, one carnival staff member threatened my gf with arrest for “jaywalking” when she walked beside me, placing part of her body outside the crosswalk. While ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Legend

Sailed out of Baltimore on Carnival Legend for a 7-day cruise to the Bahamas. The wife and I sailed with our two girls, 15 and 17. This was our third cruise and second cruise on Carnival, the other one being on the Carnival Pride in 2018. I'll start with general thoughts, then I'll discuss some positives, and end with the negatives. Generally, the ship was clean and the food decent. There were ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Elation

A few good things first: We had a suite, so boarding and disembarking were quick, no problems. The staff at the port are wonderful! We were able to go to our room immediately upon boarding. The suite was quite large. No problems there other than the big pole in the middle of the room right by the bed--made getting up at night hazardous. The walls also seemed very thin. We could hear crying ...

Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE CARNIVAL CRUISES however, this was the worst one I was ever on.. Where do I begin? This is the smallest ship in the fleet and I brought 10 people on this cruise. We had What they called a junior suite. Junior was not the word for it.. Cabin is no more than a crew cabin with a balcony view. it was tight, tiny and I would never call this a suite of any sort. ...

Disappointed and weird

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Magic

I cruise multiple times out of the year and this cruise by far was the creepiest, weird and disappointing. Here's my reasoning behind why we felt this way. Cons: 1. One of our port days was canceled which was Turks. We got a refund for $16...really. 2. Right before two of the major shows were canceled back to back we heard an announcement of an emergency, no follow up. If it's not for the ...

First Cruise and Birthday Trip Bummer

Partner booked our very first cruise for my birthday. The day of my birthday we were set to be on shore, so we decided to do the sea turtle excursion as I have a tattoo of one and have never been able to meet one. It was set to be super special. We're not rich by any means, so this was a hefty sum for us to spend on an experience. While the food was amazing in the steakhouse that you have to ...
