Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We embarked on our cruise 09/29/2018. We had been on to other cruises with Carnival, the triumph and the magic. Those cruises were wonderful and we had a great time. When we 1st boarded the freedom we noticed that it seemed like we were back in the seventies and eighties on that cruise ship. I paid for the Internet on the cruise $97 never received Internet at all. The TV's are very outdated. It ...

Not as bad as everyone says.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Elation

The Carnival Elation is not as bad as everyone keeps saying. Yes, it is older, smaller, a little worn, a few outdated styles & can feel the waves a bit more than the bigger ships, but I enjoyed the smaller ship with less people on it. I would recommend staying an extra night in San Juan at the Fortaleza suites & explore a bit. The hotel was an experience in itself. We also used Batey Zipline ...

Was not very elated with the Carnival Elation. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, 4 ports we had not been to yet. Embark was quick...and pretty painless. They need a new cruise director that might add some lido sea day activities.....absolutely nothing going on....quite frankly...could hardly understand what he was saying when he did come on the speaker.....quite boring. Food was ...

Older Ship, but still very nice.

The Elation is a somewhat dated ship, and some of the amenities on other Carnival ships are not present on the Elation. Things such as more intimate dining, and some other eateries. As always, he staff were excellent. This was a longer cruise, and after a few days, the food seemed to be a little repetitive. The comedy shows, music, and production shows were all ok. I have seen many of the ...

10 Day Journey Cruise to the Southern Caribbean

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Elation

My partner and I have done 10+ cruises on several other cruise lines including Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, and a few others. This Exotic Sothern Caribbean itinerary took us to ports I had never visited. I set my expectations low based on the recent reviews and the general negativity about Carnival from past cruise mates. I am glad to say that we were extremely pleased with this ...

Disappointing Cruise

Took a western Carribean cruise and both my wife and I became sick just after getting off the ship. Both have viral infections and have missed worked since arriving back home. There was no conscious effort as there is with other cruise lines to sanitize passengers hands coming and going from ship or in dining facilities. Our balcony room was well kept and room stewards were great. The shows ...

Our destinations were the only attraction! Our days off the ship were amazing! Our days at sea?.. The Diamond Steak House should be the standard of quality for every meal! Guys Burgers...Awesome ! Servers All friendly, and eager to serve! Boarding---at the airport loading and unloading our own bags on to the truck. Food -- over cooked, frozen, processed, tasteless, soggy...avoid! ...

Spent 3 days in San Juan prior to the cruise had a great time in old San Juan. It was our 5th Carnival Cruise, we picked it as we have heard in the past Carnival goes all out for their so called Journey Cruises and it had a good itinerary. We pushed out a cruise we had booked to next year, for the most part we wish we had not. Embarkation was smooth, we were onboard by noon and in our room ...

Great Time from San Juan to Galveston

This was a 12 night repositioning cruise from San Juan to Galveston and it just flew by. We spent 4 nights in San Juan prior to sailing and stayed at the Coral Princess. The hotel was in a great location, reasonable and had a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms aren't fancy but they were clean with comfortable beds and pillows. We took a cab to the ship at 11:30 AM and found the ...

We have been on the Liberty 2 times before, nothing was unexpected. This was a 12 day cruise out of San Juan to Galveston Tx. We used JetBlue from Seattle to San Juan, left at 11:00pm on the 5th going through JFK and arrived at 11:40am on the 6th, no problem. We were on the ship by 12:30 after using a taxi from the airport, embarkation was a breeze. We had cabin 6391 balcony, nice room, ...
