Carnival San Juan Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Valor

First timers with Carnival and on the whole had a good experience. Embarkation was very smooth with no hitches. Cabin was very roomy with the most storage space we have ever had on a cruise. Room steward was rarely seen, but we do not tend to need much in the way of service in this area. MDR was fine with good staff in Gerson, Atom & Edi. Food reasonable and you could get extra portions if ...

Here is my personal review of the Carnival Valor. We sailed on this ship twice before so I knew what to expect. CABIN - We stayed in a balcony guarantee cabin. We were assigned Cabin 8348. Nelson was our room attendant and he was wonderful – very similar to a stealth ninja I would say. We would be gone for a brief period of time and would come back and our room was completely done. He was ...

This was our 2nd cruise with Carnival, and our third overall. We chose this cruise due to the itinerary, which was outstanding. Our cabin Steward was Rahmat, and he did a nice job of taking care of us. I had a cooler in the room, and he made sure to top it off with ice when it was there. He wasn't around much, but he was always there when you needed him. Our cabin itself was fine. Nothing ...

Disappointed

Our previous seven cruises have been on another line, and I guess we've been spoiled. The cabin service was excellent, the Dinner Service was good, but obviously short staffed, the Customer service at the front desk was terribly understaffed(long lines for everything). All this is understandable when viewed as economic issue. We asked staff, and were told that staff to customer ratios continue to ...

We took the "7 Day Exotic Southern Caribbean" Cruise from San Juan, Puerto Rico visiting 5 ports, Sunday to Sunday. We had cabin 7326, which I choose because it was relatively close to the stair/lift well, but one removed so that we wouldn't hear people waiting for a lift. This worked fine, and the only noise we head was from people talking in the corridor after a big night out. The room class was ...

We just got back from our 7 night cruise onboard the Valor. The ports were great and we loved the value for money for this cruise itinerary. The ship is old but very clean and the staff work very hard to keep it that way. Food was hit and miss..we mostly ate in the dining room as the buffet was not as good as other ships. The fish and chips station was a nice addition. We had balcony room and our ...

2 of us (DW) on this cruise out of San Juan. Balcony, mid ship, Upper Deck. We have done 10+ cruises in all in the past and 2 previous on Carnival. Embarkation was very good. We got to the Old San Juan port around 4pm and were in our cabin in about 20 mins. Some kind of record for us. The room is standard. Queen size bed, couch, bathroom and balcony. Balcony has 2 chairs and a table. No quirks ...

Saint Luica - Simply the Best

The Carnival Valor - Southern Caribbean was my first cruise with my family. We chose to have a tour in Saint Lucia and we chose Jitan Tours Inc. It's a smaller tour company that we chose for more private and local tours. I can say we all were very impress and it was so affordable. We split up into two groups. A short tour with shopping, site seeing and tasting local treats. The other half took ...

I chose this cruise at the last minute due to the ports. I expected a decent cruise, but I was amazed what a well oiled machine this ship was. There was never a point of disorganization. Last January I sailed with another line to many of the same ports and I was unwhelmed to say the least. Food- Generally very good, service in the set dining time wonderful. I did not have a bad meal everything was ...

We decided to book this cruise because it was a 7 night cruise with 5 ports of call and only 1 day at sea. We arrived a day early and stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan which is right across the street from the pier. There is also a CVS about a block down the road from the hotel to pick up some soft drinks and snacks to carry on the ship. There is also a free tram that runs around Old San Juan to ...
