Carnival San Juan Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Carnival's Cost Cutting Measures Lose a Repeat Customer

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Liberty

This was our sixth cruise overall and our fourth with Carnival. It will be our last with Carnival. We chose this cruise because it went to southern Caribbean ports we had not previously visited, and because we only had one day at sea. We also wanted to spend a few days in San Juan, which was enjoyable. But our cruise with Carnival was a huge disappointment. Carnival is clearly cost cutting in ...

We have just returned from our cruise on the Carnival Liberty. Although there were enjoyable aspects of the cruise, there are also issues that occurred which have left us questioning whether selecting Carnival for our first ever cruise experience was a wise choice. These issues have left us very unhappy with our entire Carnival experience. Upon our arrival at the ship, we proceeded to check ...

We were first time Carnival cruisers and had been told that the line skewed toward being a "party boat experience" but with a balcony and a quiet deck we figured that we would be fine. Well.. we were... sort of. Without the balcony we would have hated the experience. However, this isn't a slam against Carnival. If you like Vegas then you'll like Carnival, it seems. If you're like us, and you ...

Not The Best That Carnival Has To Offer

This was my 8th Carnival cruise. Let's set aside how ridiculous it is that Carnival changed their smoking policy after many of us had already paid for our balcony rooms. The coffee and drink machines, with the exception of two, were turned off as soon as the buffets were closed. Therefore, you had to walk quite a bit to find a drink. When they were all turned off many of them didn't work. That ...

My husband and I recently returned from our Christmas Cruise (12/14/14 to 12/21/14) on the Carnival Valor. We had a suite, which was suppose to include priority embarkation and dismbarkation (which is why we paid for a suite as opposed to a balcony room). After flying from Las Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan, and taking the Carnival Bus to the Terminal, we made our way ...

I just came today from my holiday cruise on Carnival Valor. I have cruised before with Carnival and I just keep on having the faith that this time it will be different, but I continue to have unplesant surprises. Thou they strive for service I feel that there is some situations with the employess especially with the ones that service on Rosies restaurant, they seem to have a lay down hands they ...

Disappointed

Our previous seven cruises have been on another line, and I guess we've been spoiled. The cabin service was excellent, the Dinner Service was good, but obviously short staffed, the Customer service at the front desk was terribly understaffed(long lines for everything). All this is understandable when viewed as economic issue. We asked staff, and were told that staff to customer ratios continue to ...

Disappointing, compared to other lines

This was my third cruise in three years, all of which were 7 nights in the Caribbean. First cruise in 2012 was on Norwegian Epic, second in 2013 on Celebrity Summit, and now January 2014 on Carnival Valor. Compared to Celebrity and Norwegian I found Carnival extremely disappointing. The room was an ocean view on Deck 2- the stateroom was spacious although dated which doesn't make much of a ...

Not Great....

My family and I sailed aboard the Carnival Valor out of San Juan from December 22, 2013- December 29, 2013. First of all, the safety drill/orientation was so unorganized and appeared to be haphazard. If we did need to abandon the ship, I am not sure that everyone would have made it off safely. Secondly, aside from our room steward and some of our dining room staff, we were unimpressed with the ...

Minuses: Told to take our own luggage on board the ship to our cabin. Never met or saw our Cabin Steward. Our room was dirty for the first 3 days. Used band aid and hair on balcony. Furniture was old, carpeting soiled. It was only deep cleaned after we complained to the Head Purser but the room was still dirty. Lido deck area and Buffet Dining area was dirty with ground in filth under each table. ...
