Carnival San Diego Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Fun cruise but issues

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Miracle

I was so ready to go on a cruise again. This cruise was on an older ship. I know there can be issues. This was just a lot. First, the food was lacking in every restaurant venue. Second, the ship had rules about masks and things that were not enforced, which I found frustrating. Some of the drinks were downright awful, which I have never experienced before. Lastly. In the middle of the night, there ...

Warm weather cruise in both the Pacific and Atlantic. Staff was ...as usual, outstanding. The ship was set to be refurbished at the end of this cruise. It needed it. Really could have been discounted because of the needed repairs. Carnival has really fallen off in quality since we started with them nearly 35 years ago. Food quality and entertainment need upgraded. It would have been good to ...

Felt Like a Budget Cruise

Upon hearing that Carnival was beginning to leave from San Diego, my family decided it would be a great first cruise for 5 year old twins. We took a New Years cruise to fit in winter break. My husband and I have cruised previously (including on Carnival). Embarking was pretty quick and straightforward. We had one of the first embarkation times and made it fairly smoothly on. Getting off the ...

Very disappointed not my typical Carnival Experience

I just got back from Mexican Riviera my 3rd time on this particular cruise and second time on the Miracle. Since it has been 2 years cruising with Carnival I don't know if it was the Ship or if Carnival has just gotten majorly cheap but this wasn't my normal Carnival experience. The food was horrible, the selections in the dining room were sad, our service was deplorable and the ship was dirty. I ...

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Spirit

Let me start by saying we are the type of people who believe that any vacation is what you make it and therefore, can have a good time pretty much anywhere. And we did on this trip. It was a wonderful 9-day vacation although there were definitely some ups and downs. We've cruised on Disney, Carnival and NCL all 7-day's or longer. When we chose this cruise we did so knowing that we were getting ...

Carnival Spirit-Mexican Riveria

We have been on the Spirit before. It has always been mediocre, but traveled where and when our lives permitted. The ship just returned from a two week drydock and it showed. The gym has been totally reconfigured and outfitted with state of the art Life Fitness equipment. There is a new 21 and over pool and sun area that is just wonderful. Quiet (means no kids) and pretty at the back of the ship. ...

No spirit on the Spirit

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Spirit

We have been on the Spirit for 3 or 4 times. In July 2012 we cruised to Alaska and the Spirit was as wonderful as ever. However we just returned from the Mexican Riviera on the Spirit again and what a difference. We were traveling with 5 other couples, all past cruisers and all of us had similar complaints about dinner. The menu had been cut back drastically with fewer items to select from. ...

15 days of a Circus

This was the most disorganized cruise we have ever been on. This was our 6th cruise and definitely the most disorganized. It seems you don't care (Carnival) you have our money. This was our first Carnival cruise and it was more like a Circus than a Carnival cruise, it was not ready to disembark. Let me begin: Departure what a joke! 4-5 hrs to get on the boat while we watched the Holland America ...

My husband and I booked this cruise last year as we were planning our wedding. We chose Carnival cruise line because it seemed to have a great bang for our buck. We were very excited to find that by booking so early we locked in a decent rate and were able to get the coveted extended aft balcony. The balcony was worth the extra money compared to the inner cabins I have stayed in before, especially ...

Cruise was fine - food was not

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Spirit

We were delayed in embarking due to the Tsunami and this resulted in a very long line to drop of luggage prior to entering the cruise ship terminal. We understand that this was not Carnival's fault but the fact that there were not enough trollies to hand the baggage was not too impressive. The ship was not what I would call elegant. The public areas were gaudy and tacky parodies of architectural ...
