Carnival Rome (Civitavecchia) Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

This Experience was Disappointing

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Carnival Pride

We choose this cruise because we needed to rebook after a COVID cancellation and wanted to book something similar to the cruise that was cancelled. We ended up with a completely different itinerary but some important stops where the same and so we were happy. We have sailed with Carnival many times, the last time being just before COVID shut travel down. In the past we have loved Carnival for ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Carnival Dream

I should preface this review by saying that the draw for me to take this cruise were the ports and the ports only. I am not one of those who takes tons of cruises - I wanted to take this cruise for the chance to get to see several ports in Italy and the chance to have that experience is what made the vacation a great one for me. As long as the ship experiences were not completely disastrous, ...

Pride of the Fleet.....we think not!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Dream

We decided to try the new Dream as it was to be the "Pride of the Carnival Fleet" and because it was a trans Atlantic we thought it would have a seasoned, mature passenger group. On the point of the passengers, we were correct. Many were die-hard Carnival followers but a large group were multi line cruisers and all that we met personally were very nice, interesting and well traveled people. They ...

My wife and I have cruised 12 times before, from Norwegian,Princess,Royal Caribbean,P.O and Carnival twice before.Embarkation was a breeze,on the ship in half an hour, the best ever, debarkation was the same, hats off to Carnival. The first thing we noticed was the atrium,it was the smallest and least impressive of any ship we have been on,very dissapointing. Our cabin was fine, larger than expected and ...

INTRO. My wife and I read dozens of Cruise Critic Reviews before choosing our cruise line for our first cruise. Then, frankly, we chose Carnival because we decided we'd rather cruise home than fly home after spending two weeks in Egypt—and the timing was perfect. It was a real learning experience, and certainly more fun and relaxing than flying. As recent retirees, we were not looking for a hot ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Carnival Splendor

We had a 12 day cruise out of Rome and embarkation was fairly easy since i had entered most of the information online as requested, and we arrived late afternoon. We had 5 days in Rome previous to the cruise, had a great time so were a little disappointed by our cruise. Like others, i found the overindulgence in 'pink' to be somewhat offputting! The shops onboard had a good variety but ...

Traveled with my husband and child. The ship decor was to busy and pink. Not elegant, we did not feel we were in a GRAND ship or a new one TOO BUSY. The SHIP not spotless everywhere. I don't know if anyone else noticed but the cleaning crew needed to pay attention also to the dusting in the cabin and shelves. Also there was dust and dirt near the windows at the seating area at the Lido and ...

Carnival Freedom - Trans-Atlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Arrived at Fiumicino Airport in Rome as part of the Carnival cruise air package. Having been to Italy before, was not surprised at the utter confusion at the airport. Transported by bus to the port and waited at least one hour at embarkation facility before the Carnival staff arrived. There again confusion reigned. The actual embarkation processing was painless and soon we were aboard the ship. A ...

Carnival Freedom - Trans-Atlantic

You know where I'm coming from by the title. If you liked the Carnival Freedom on the 10/28 transatlantic, you won't like this review. We booked our tour a tour company which was very reasonably priced, and although their excursions didn't always work out as planned, we thought they were a decent value. That may have been the problem with this cruise. It was priced reasonably enough that travel ...

Carnival Freedom - Western Mediterranean

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Carnival Freedom

This is the 13th cruise that my wife and I have taken, so we consider ourselves somewhat knowledgeable about cruises. We decided to take the Carnival Freedom because it afforded a reasonable price for such a long trip AND had one of the best itineraries for the Mediterranean area. We figured by upgrading to the penthouse category 12 cabin we would be afforded a great trip. We booked the cruise, ...
