Disclosure, we "overpaid" for three cabins on the Paradise that departed Tampa on 12/26. Of course it was supply and demand market pricing, but I felt like this (older) ship was going to have an uphill battle to impress me on such a short (4 nt) cruise with only one port of call (Cozumel). Spoiler warning - it did impress!
We booked three cabins -
1) an oceanview for my wife and I ...
Loved the food. The punchline comedy was a blast. Kevin the cruise director was alot of help. My wife surprised me with a couples swedish massage. I was embarrassed about getting on table naked but the ladies told me not to worry that they made sure I stayed covered. We plan on another cruise in June. We also enjoyed the barbecue. One night we ate sushi. We even ordered room service. My ...
This cruise was one of the most immeasurable ways to end my year! It was packed with many remarkable encounters with bar-tenders, people, strangers, & lots of entertaining activities thought my 4 days there. Many of those moments were trying to follow the list of activities in the morning while talking to bar-tenders and random strangers at night. I love how they have an app that allows me to look ...
I chose this cruise as a Christmas Birthday treat for my Mom. I normally cruise with NCL or RC. We were more Interested in the ports of call more so the ship at the time of booking.
If it weren't for the awesome time we had on the excursions, this trip would have been a bust.
Embarkation was easy. We had a 12:30 schedule and walked straight through. We are at Tiffany's, and our luggage ...
Family cruise for Christmas vacation. We had four cabins and eleven family members. Eight adults and three children. Cabin service was not up to standard. We came back from a beach excursion with wet towels. We all took showers and went to dinner. When we came back to our room after dinner, the room was not straightened and all of our wet towels were still sitting on the bathroom floor. I ...
This was our 12th cruise and will probably be our last. Except for our room steward, workers were downright rude. Service was horrible. 90 minutes to get a Mongolian dish made. Had to stand in line for 90+ minutes to ferry to and from Half Moon Caye (no lines- just stalled the ferry with no explanation). They didn’t deliver my preordered speciality gift to my room for my annuversary. When ...
This is was our second time aboard the Sunshine and honestly our first trip wasn’t that great. We sailed on the Sunshine when it was in Florida (Orlando maybe?) and was hesitant to sail on it again but simply selected this cruise because of its convenience out of Charleston. We had sailed out of Charleston before aboard the Ecstasy and had a much more enjoyable trip.
Fist off this ship is ...
We chose this particular cruise because it left out of a port we could all access fairly easily by car AND seemed like a good fit for the children and teenagers in our group. Also, a couple of the adults in our party very much wanted to do some gambling as well. The "Dream" seemed to have it all. We were not disappointed. The ship was lively and full of fun activities and different dining choices. ...
Last year was our 1st Christmas without Mama. She was all about Christmas and had wanted to go on a 2019 Christmas Cruise. Sadly she passed in March 2019 and we were all depressed having Christmas without her at home. Not wanting to go through that again we decided this Christmas we were going to honor her and be at sea. It was her wish and it really helped us all.
We chose Carnival Sunshine 5 ...
This was a family Christmas cruise.
Well where do I start, the food is ok, there are several restaurants but the lines are long (ship Carrie's 6000 people). The food at Golden Corral is more fresh and tastes better. If I had to give the best recommendation for food is Guy's Burger Joint. Luckily you can't not screw up a cheese burger. The ship activities while at sea are not fun and the ...
