We have been on 20 or more cruises with several different cruise lines. I would not recommend this ship to anyone unless you have never been on any ship and have nothing to compare it to. Ship is old and outdated and in much need of repair and upgrading. Food is mediocre at best in MDR. Service in MDR is very good. One of the very few highlights of our trip. On the other hand, the buffet is ...
Unfortunately the Ship, or whom-ever decided to have the "Meet N' Greet" on a strange date ( last Sea Day) and also at the 6:00 PM Dining Time. We had early dining and it was Elegant Night, with Prime Rib and Lobster ..... GUESS which one we went to .
The rest of the Cruise was wonderful - with a great Cruise Director - "T.J." ........ and the Shows were the best we have ever seen on a CCL ...
We sailed 12/28/19-1/2/20 with our adult children and 5 grandchildren aged 3-17. We had 3 balconies and an inside cabin. The ship seemed understaffed, though everyone on staff was nice. This is the first time the steward asked if we wanted the room cleaned am, pm, or both times. Again - a staffing issue? Since we showered twice a day, we asked for both times. Other family members didn’t ...
• Inadequate emergency and evacuation procedures .No safety evacuation drill provided . I have written to Lloyds Register and Port Canaveral Authority to complain.
• Inadequate security arrangements allowing me to access the bridge to protest to ships second in command. (I could have been a terrorist)
• Inadequate risk management for Norovirus
• Inadequate cleaning of cabins .Bathrooms ...
We normally take a cruise for either Christmas of New Years so we have certain dates we are off work. This was going out on 12/28 so worked for our schedule perfectly. We have been on the Conquest a few years back and thought we'd give it another try.
Getting onto the ship we had been assigned 12-12:30 timeframes. We took the shuttle over and dropped off the luggage and got right inside ...
This was not my first Carnival cruise and have had several very pleasant experiences in the past. We booked this cruise with my Mother-in-Law after the recent passing of my father-in-law and wanted to spread his ashes in the sea. I was initially caught disappointed when we found out we would have to pay full-fare for my 1-year old. According to the Carnival booking agent, it was because this was a ...
Sailed with friends for their 50th birthday. Our first cruise and I had gone with the thought that it would be like a club on water, I was correct. I was not overly impressed: lines and long wait for most meals, especially the deli, wok and Indian. As for getting a poolside seat or pod especially in adult only areha : forget it. The small pools and spas were disappointing and also crowded. Long ...
Chose this cruise as we wanted a New Year getaway and have done the same trip on Legend and enjoyed it.
Elaboration and disembarkation were fat, professionally and seamless.
Cabin was fine. We only slept there so we didn't need anything fancy.
A lot of the same stuff as Legend. Lidocaine deck, Serenity Pool, Red Frog Pub, etc.
Food seemed to be just a little poorer than last time but ...
Upon hearing that Carnival was beginning to leave from San Diego, my family decided it would be a great first cruise for 5 year old twins. We took a New Years cruise to fit in winter break. My husband and I have cruised previously (including on Carnival).
Embarking was pretty quick and straightforward. We had one of the first embarkation times and made it fairly smoothly on. Getting off the ...
My wife and I picked this cruise despite the fact we swore we wouldn’t sail with Carnival again after our last trip a couple years ago. Compared to NCL and RC, we just weren’t impressed with our last cruise. But we booked because we wanted a quick weekend getaway on the cheap. Well we got what we paid for.
First off, if you have even slight concerns about motion sickness, avoid this ship ...
