I have enjoyed two Carnival cruises previously. A three day and 7 day. This one was not that enjoyable.
Unlike the others the level of service was lacking. I enjoy being spoiled so this was my disappointment. The things different are the following:
1) Very few or no servers for drinks. Four of us paid for the Cheers package. Since my parents were using scooters, as their mobility was ...
Just returned from a short 5 day cruise on the Carnival Pride out of Tampa and am happy to report it was great. We have sailed with Carnival 8 other times but always longer trips. Pride has some of the Carnival 2.0 upgrades which we enjoy like the Blue Igana and Guys Burger Joint but the biggest upgrade on this cruise was the staff! Over a dozen cruises on 3 different lines and we have never ...
This was our 15th cruise, 2nd on Pride, mostly Carnival but also RCL, Celebrity and NCL. Pride is only from Tampa for a few weeks before return to Baltimore so we took advantage of a 7 day to Western Caribbean.
Pride is the ideal size for new cruisers and especially now with the impressive 2.0 upgrade apparently costing near $75M. It's about as large a ship that can sail out of Tampa to pass ...
Picked this cruise mostly due to the sailing dates. Also wanted to see Belize, Honduras and Grand Cayman. Prefer the Eastern Caribbean but enjoyed the Islands and locals. Embarkation and debarkation were easy. While the entertainment was lackluster the crew was the best ever. Our room steward, Randy and dining crew Carlos, Jovan and Ivan were awesome. Would have liked a table nearer a window ...
My wife and I took our first cruise and had an excellent time on the Carnival Pride. The ship was delayed 2 hours and embarkation was not pleasant. We were given very little information and waited in line an extremely long time. We had previously tried to sign up for FTTF but that option was sold out ( do it early ! ). Once we boarded things improved quite a bit. We were on deck 6 with a balcony. ...
My wife and I booked this cruise based on her limited availability and a port within driving distance. We had never cruised Carnival before but the price was good and it seemed like a good itinerary.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and felt we got good value for our money. The staff was excellent, professional, cheerful and hard working. The ship was surely older, but the room was big, ...
This was my 8th cruise. 3 with Royal Caribbean (LOVE LOVE LOVE)....and 5 (including this one) with Carnival. Up until this cruise, I would have recommended Carnival to anyone..but that has changed drastically. This cruise - from the planning stages through the actual cruise itself was a series of disappointments and deep frustrations with a cruiseline who had no respect for their customers, who ...
My husband and I chose the Carnival Pride for our honeymoon and first cruise. The basis of its appeal was the fact that it was inexpensive and allowed for a flexible itinerary. We had days where we kept ourselves busy with activities and days where we lounged and relaxed. This review is from the perspective of a first time cruiser but we hope it is helpful to others considering a cruise for ...
This cruise was the first cruise with my daughters. They are 3 years and 1 year old.
Arrival/embarkation: We drove from home which was about a 4 hour drive. Not too bad and certainly better than flying such a short distance. We left home with plenty of time and at that point my only worry was traffic from the Raven's home football game that day. As we got closer, it was already after ...
We had a great time on this ship. Food was good, service even better. We had a balcony on the Empress deck. Loved it. The casino was crowed, but hey, when aren't they? The adult Serenity deck was nice, but not large enough. I was disappointed there were no cigar bars, and to smoke one you had to go outside and huddle in the corner of the pool area. Not conducive to the cigar experience. You would ...
