We drove to the Port of Long Beach and found it easily. we (3 adults, 2 kids) were among the first batch to go through the embarkation process so the line was long but we managed. once we boarded our photos were taken and we were directed up the elevators to the mermaid's Grill buffet on the Lido deck. I decided not to eat and we headed to our staterooms which were nice and roomy. The ship had a ...

We are from Canada, so we flew into LAX a few days early to look around Long Beach. If you can stay at the Queen Mary, it is wonderful and they treat you like a real cruise ship would. On Sunday we checked in early using the Queen Mary check in site. Since we stayed on the QM we knew where to go and what to do. the bellhops even took our luggage for us and we never touched a thing. Embark took a ...

Background information: This is my 7th cruise with the Carnival Company. It was the first time for us to be on Carnival cruise line. We have travelled with Holland America and Princess to Alaska and W. Caribbean. Ship : The interior of the ship was supposed to be a Renaissance theme. Instead, it looked cheap and tacky. I must say that the elevators were the fastest that I have been, which ...

First time sailing out of Long Beach and honestly San Diego is still my favorite. We used www.redvans.com for shuttle service from LAX and this not only went smoothly but saved over CCL transfers. Once at the port, it was a fluster of people, but Carnival did a great job funneling people on board. Once allowed to enter the terminal building, we were on board the ship in less than 15 min. Once on ...

This is my 7th cruise with the Carnival company. It was the first time for us to be on Carnival cruise line. I must say that I have never seen so many badly behaved intoxicaated passengers. They certainly kept the crew busy! Ist night in the Normandie Dining room, I had to request the group of 20 something guys not to cuss and swear loudly, unfortunately, they were so drunk that they kept ...

Embarkation was fine. The port area near Queen Mary is under construction and there was confusion on where to go and the lines were long when we arrived. There were plenty of staff around to direct us. We had priority, VIP, boarding and eventually were able to find the VIP line and check-in area. Once onboard we went right to our suite and left our carry-ons in the room and then headed ...

This was our seventh cruise, but first on the west coast ... all others have been in the Caribbean. I read a lot of reviews prior to our cruise in an attempt to get a feel for what to expect, since we had never sailed out of Los Angeles (Port of Long Beach). EMBARKATION We arrived in LA the day before our cruise and we stayed on the Queen Mary. This was SO convenient ... right next to the ...

Well this was my second cruise with carnival. Was on the Carnival Paradise 4 years ago with the family. This trip was just me and my Girlfriend. We decided to fly in the morning of despite what most people recommended. Arrived around noon at LAX to SuperShuttle to the dock and got to the post around 12:30. EMBARKATION: Now everyone I read said that this would take anywhere from 30 mins to a ...

Embarkation: We flew into LAX early Sunday Morning. I had arranged a car service to get us to Long Beach. Several Carnival meet-and-greet staff stopped us when they saw are Carnival luggage tags and asked if they could help, although we did not need their services. We arrived at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal around 9:30am, and a porter took our luggage as soon as it hit the sidewalk. ...

Flew into Long Beach airport on Jet Blue. Quick $23 taxi to a hotel. We stayed for two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott prior to the cruise ($50/night on Priceline). Day of the cruise, we ambled to the supermarket within walking distance of the hotel, picked up a few bottles of wine (deciding at last minute to not use our rum-runners though liquor was available at the supermarket), and hopped a ...
