We sailed on The Pride from November 3 to 18, 2019. We booked a 14 day cruise, but a storm turned it into a 15 day cruise.
Here is my review of the cruise and our experiences.
The Divine:
The food and service in the main dining room. Carnival served exotic and gourmet food each night. Their fruit soups can only be described as divine. I placed a spoonful of cool soup in my mouth, got a ...
Port of entry Baltimore. Convenience. Good value. Staff excellent in every area. Pizza and burgers excellent. David’s restaurants absolutely wonderful. David’s / Worth the extra expense. Enjoyed the adult pool. Great time to travel. Casino great fun playing three card poker. Staff excellent. Enjoyed snorkeling. Jet ski and zip lining. Enjoyed Grand Turk. Lovely beach. Easy day off and on the ship. ...
We chose Carnival Pride because the departure city of Baltimore is about an hour away, so no airfare required. Drove to the harbor and had to wait maybe 20 minutes for luggage drop-off and parking. Check-in went quickly at our appointed time. The walk up the gangplank is a bit of a hike if you're out of shape and lugging much carry-on.
We splurged on this cruise because we were celebrating our ...
We choose this cruise since it was leaving from Baltimore, which is only 3 hours from our home and we wanted one that went over Spring break Our Steward, Rowena, was wonderful and had such a sweet personality. She was so very responsive to our every concern. We were in room 6246 and 6252 on the Carnival Pride the week of 3/31 to 4/7/19.
The ship was very clean and everyone was very helpful both ...
My wife and I just came back from a 14 day (Nov. 4th thru 18th) Carnival Journey cruise out of Baltimore on the Pride. We stopped at: Grand Turk, Aruba, Curacao, Bermuda, St. Lucia, and St. Martin. We had a fantastic time. We booked an interior room on the 8th floor right below the food court (it's like having the world's best kitchen just up the stairs!). The room was large, comfortable, and ...
The Carnival Pride is my favorite ship and not just because she conveniently docks in Baltimore. I love the layout and the variety of public areas. (I've spent a total of 45 nights across five cruises on her now.)
With venues like the Card Room, Library, Chapel and Sunset Garden, you can always find a quite place to sit.
I have always been pleased with the service on the Pride. And, on ...
Wife and I just got off the 7 day cruise from Baltimore to Grand Turk, Half Moon, and Freeport.
We booked this cruise because it's easy driving distance and the balcony was super cheap. We had never had a balcony so we figured this was the one to try.
So, I'm gonna list my pros and cons.
Pros:
- We loved the way they did the Lido deck food on this ship. Different stations with ...
We chose this cruise because it departed from the port of Baltimore, It saved us from having to travel to Florida for departure. The guy who attended to our room ( ARNOLD) was super great. The activities on the ship were second to none. We really liked the comedy shows and the late night party at Beauty's.. This ship was run very professionally by Dr E. Every thing was well coordinated and on ...
Price was amazing! Dining food at dinner and breakfast is very tasty and artfully presented. Love Ken, the Maitre'd singing each night! Such a talent and lots of fun. So convenient being AFT with a fantail suite with the DR only a few floors below and the Mermaid Grille which always has something open 24 hours. We highy recommend the Pizza Guys who make custom individual pizzas for you. ...
Embarkation and Disembarkation: Baltimore port was extremely efficient and fast. Last year, we left out of Norfolk and it was an hour-plus process each getting on and getting off.
Rooms and Décor: I don’t agree with how “ugly” other reviewers say this ship is. I thought it was beautiful. Yes you can see certain areas where there is rust or wear and tear, but as a whole, I think the poor reviews ...
