We drove to the Port of Long Beach and found it easily. we (3 adults, 2 kids) were among the first batch to go through the embarkation process so the line was long but we managed. once we boarded our photos were taken and we were directed up the elevators to the mermaid's Grill buffet on the Lido deck. I decided not to eat and we headed to our staterooms which were nice and roomy. The ship had a ...

This is my 7th cruise with the Carnival company. It was the first time for us to be on Carnival cruise line. I must say that I have never seen so many badly behaved intoxicaated passengers. They certainly kept the crew busy! Ist night in the Normandie Dining room, I had to request the group of 20 something guys not to cuss and swear loudly, unfortunately, they were so drunk that they kept ...

Embarkation was fine. The port area near Queen Mary is under construction and there was confusion on where to go and the lines were long when we arrived. There were plenty of staff around to direct us. We had priority, VIP, boarding and eventually were able to find the VIP line and check-in area. Once onboard we went right to our suite and left our carry-ons in the room and then headed ...

Embarkation: We flew into LAX early Sunday Morning. I had arranged a car service to get us to Long Beach. Several Carnival meet-and-greet staff stopped us when they saw are Carnival luggage tags and asked if they could help, although we did not need their services. We arrived at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal around 9:30am, and a porter took our luggage as soon as it hit the sidewalk. ...

First off, we have cruised 3 other times and I don't remember ever the embarking or debarking process to be so fast and efficient...Things have really changed for the better! The ship was always clean, the staff was always polite and helpful but in my opinion I prefer less sea days and more ports...The food was ok but I must add (you may not want to read this) On 2 separate occasions, we were ...

We sailed on the pride from Dec 14th to 21st. We reached Long beach on Saturday evening. I was quite surprised with the Long beach airport. It is very small, has no aerobridge and the baggage claim area is outside in the open !! Embarkation: Next day morning we reached the Long beach cruise terminal at around 11 am. We went to Queen Mary and got zone 2 as our boarding zone. The carnival ...

This was our 2nd cruise with Carnival. The first was on the Conquest. Compared to the Conquest, the Pride is a bit smaller in size. Despite the size difference the amenities seemed mostly the same. We arrived at the port early (before 11am), and were able to par-take in the early check-in process. I highly recommended that anyone traveling on a cruise try and get in on the early check-in as it ...

We arrived a day early in Long Beach, just a precaution because we were coming all the way from Alaska and did not want weather to ruin our vacation. We stayed the night in the Westmark at the Convention Center. Nice hotel, all the standard amenities. A little expensive, but for downtown Long Beach I guess that is the norm. Easy walking distance to all the sights. On the day of embarkation ...

My wife and I traveled with three other couples and we all made our own arrangements for travel to the port. We flew in a day early and toured the Queen Mary. You can tell that the was once a very elegant ship but it has definitely not been kept up by current management. We also found the submarine quite interesting and worthwhile. We also stayed at the Embassy Suites El Segundo and had a very ...

We were in a group of 7 ages 25-35. 3 couples and my sister. She didn't mind being solo because this cruise was really for "us" sisters. There's 4 of us. We have laggers in our group so we didn't get to Long Beach port until 1pm. We got in line and was really almost the last group to board. The weather was nice and the line was moving so fast so it wasn't a problem at all. By the time we go in, ...
