Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Pride

First off, we have cruised 3 other times and I don't remember ever the embarking or debarking process to be so fast and efficient...Things have really changed for the better! The ship was always clean, the staff was always polite and helpful but in my opinion I prefer less sea days and more ports...The food was ok but I must add (you may not want to read this) On 2 separate occasions, we were ...

Embarkation was quicker than we'd expected - less than an hour after we first got in line at Long Beach (around 11:30), we were aboard the ship, filling our plates on the Lido deck! Our rooms were actually a nice surprise. We'd booked inside cabins to make traveling with so many affordable. Much was my delight to discover that the curtain in the room actually hid a balcony-sized door that opened ...

We just completed a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise, January 18, 2009, leaving from Long Beach - ports of call - Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. We had previously sailed on the Carnival Imagination (2 times), and this was our first Mexican cruise and first experience with the Pride. I had spent a lot of time researching everything, so was prepared for the good and bad. Was very ...

This is my first review and second ever cruise. So here goes: Carnival Pride, set out from Long Beach, Los Angeles in late January 2009, right around the Chinese New Year. CABIN At first we grouched about being on deck 7, assuming more spacious accommodations on deck 8, but realized we didn't have to deal with the band music and lawn chairs moved about every day on Lido deck. It was spacious, ...

Background: We sailed on January 4th. We're veteran cruisers. We've sailed on 2 other Carnival ships, as well as Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. We'd done some reading ahead of time, so we were looking forward to sailing on one of Carnival's larger ships. It seems to us like Carnival went out of their way to make this cruise totally forgettable... Having cruised Carnival several times before, ...

We booked this trip for our 20th wedding anniversary. This was our 2nd cruise. Our first was on the NCL Star back in 2007 to Alaska. We are in our early 40's. We live in Southern Oregon so we flew in the day before our cruise. Our flight left at 7:00am so got to the airport around 5am. By 5:05am we had our luggage checked and our passes ready. There was no one else in line. We were suppose to ...

We sailed on the pride from Dec 14th to 21st. We reached Long beach on Saturday evening. I was quite surprised with the Long beach airport. It is very small, has no aerobridge and the baggage claim area is outside in the open !! Embarkation: Next day morning we reached the Long beach cruise terminal at around 11 am. We went to Queen Mary and got zone 2 as our boarding zone. The carnival ...

Carnival Pride Cruise Dec 07 to 14 This was my second cruise (both with Carnival). My first cruise was a 4 day cruise on the Carnival Paradise in Jan 08. My girlfriend has cruised in the past, but got sea-sick. She said she would never cruise again. I told her that I would guarantee that she wouldn't get sick, and she didn't. In fact she enjoyed herself so much, she couldn't wait to go on ...

This was our 2nd cruise with Carnival. The first was on the Conquest. Compared to the Conquest, the Pride is a bit smaller in size. Despite the size difference the amenities seemed mostly the same. We arrived at the port early (before 11am), and were able to par-take in the early check-in process. I highly recommended that anyone traveling on a cruise try and get in on the early check-in as it ...

Carnival Pride was Great!

We left on December 14, 2008 on our cruise. We were married on the Queen Mary the day before - were both in our med 30's and combined two families, so we took all 6 kids and many family members and friends on our cruise with us. Because of this I want to stress the most important thing that I am surprised I didn't read on any of the reviews. If you are going on a cruise with more than 2 people, ...
