Terrific staff, room and tours! Mediocre food and entertainment onboard.
"We did the sit down restaurant almost every evening for dinner and as you could pick two main courses; usually 1 was delicious and the other not-so-great.Carnival offered a great variety of tours for every activity level/ability at each port and I enjoyed Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya...."Read More

Was an OK trip

Me and my wife took this cruise to celebrate our anniversary and the dates worked out great for our schedules. This is our third trip on a Carnival ship and enjoyed our prior trips. We were actually a little disappointed on this one. Staff: The staff was kind and friendly with the both of us. Grace in the Red Frog Pub was friendly and met you with a smile. No issues with any of the staff ...

We took this cruise out of Tampa and traveled with a group of 13 friends. Overall, we were pleased with the crew. Food quality was good to very good. We ate breakfast and dinner mostly in the Dining room. The Wait staff was great. Our Cabin Steward was the best and we were very impressed with him. I was VERY disappointed in the "Beach Escape" excursion in Costa Maya. The beach was ...

I went on this cruise with a large group and had a pretty fun time. Ship staff were all polite, efficient and friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. Carnival offered a great variety of tours for every activity level/ability at each port and I enjoyed Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya. I felt 6 nights was the perfect length for travel. An additional plus - there were very few kids onboard as ...

OMG, We booked cruise with two other couples who had picked the port near where they live, tampa. At the time I was very excited to go since we had not been on a cruise since Jan 2020. I had read a few reviews before hand, it was noted that the ship was upgraded in 2019. Well, not sure what was upgrade ( added the slides??) We were on the Empress deck with a balcony, the first thing we notice our ...

Doesn't measure up!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Carnival Pride

This was a repositioning cruise of 13 days from Lisbon to Tampa. We chose it as a potentially relaxing way to return to the USA after several weeks touring Portugal. Our Ocean Suite was large and the cabin staff kept it very clean. However, the Pride is an old ship, and the cabinet doors and drawer fronts were sagging and squeaky. We hesitated to open the closet door for fear of disturbing the ...

Ship was fine, liked the décor on this one in the main areas, food was blah. Ports were nice.

Transfer from Airport to Cruise ship: - They had us waiting 1.5 hours before finally getting us there and some of the staff was starting to make comments about not making it on the cruise. Next time I will do Uber from Airport to Cruise terminal. Embarkation: Since we were so late, we got right on and had no lines. I used the Verifly app they suggested before hand to get all the Covid stuff ...

First cruise since the Pandemic

After 23 months, I was so ready to get back out on the open seas. Had never been on the Pride, but had been on one of her sister ships. So I was familiar with the ship’s layout. Easy to navigate. Glad that we could walk through the casino without having to smell cigarette smoke. I only ate in the MDR for breakfast. Two of the days were for Seaday brunch. Service was excellent and attentive. ...

This is my 17th Carnival Cruise Line cruise and fourth on the Carnival Pride which used to sail from Baltimore, MD, now it sails out of Tampa FL. Embarkment was a little slow going due to a lack of wheelchair pushers for my wife, once we did get on we went to the Lido deck for their buffet. The food offerings at the embarkment buffet had limited offerings and I would have to rate the variety ...

This was the cruise I choose after the pandemic hit and my original cruise was canceled. The only plus was the $600 onboard credit that we received for booking and the wonderful crew (Stewarts and servers). The singers and performers tried to act and sing, and the magician was hard to understand and used beginner's tricks. There just wasn't enough entertainment provided on this ship. The ...

Dark ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

I have been on at least 20 cruises. This is the darkest ship I have ever been on. I think part of the problem in the buffet is that the ceilings are painted a dark color. There are several places around the ship that seem really dark. I had a great cabin steward and Ronnie my waiter in the dining room was very good. Plenty of games and such during the day, although I do wish there was more ...
