Love the Carnival Pride

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

My husband rides on a scooter so traveling to a close by port is essential. 4.5 hours from our home, always come the night before and stay at the Hotel Hilton BWI. 15 minutes to the port of baltimore. On board as soon as we arrived. Porters took bags outside prior to parking. Through security and on board with no wait. This makes the start of vacation terrific. The Pride is a smaller ship, ...

My 30th birthday was in December 2019 and later that same month, I graduated with my Masters degree. Instead of throwing a party, I decided to take a cruise and bring my mom and son along. I am from Baltimore and have been on the Pride twice before this time and absolutely love this ship. I booked a standard ocean view room and was later upgraded to a standard balcony room. It was located ...

I booked this cruise last minute, 3 weeks prior to our sail date. I was traveling with my best friend (it was her first cruise) and my 2 sons. My first Carnival cruise was on the Horizon last summer, June 2018... I was not impressed.. quality of food was awful and no one ever cleaned anything, sanitizers always empty. Same for Carnival Sunshine.. Empty hand sanitizer for days. Sub-par food. Dirty ...

We truly enjoyed everything about our cruise! The cruise director was fun and engaging. The activities kept us entertained. The food was tasty and our steward went above and beyond. The ship was very clean and we constantly saw people picking up and straightening. The cabin could have been a little bigger but I feel that way about all ships. There were plenty of food options and the ...

Carnival still a great ship, despite her age and decor.

This cruise 12/01 to 12/08/2019 was selected as it was a Carnival Player Club (casino) cruise.I still look at the Carnival Pride with you eyes, yes she has dated decor and the elevator floor numbers are recessed so they are hard to see, but she is still "ship shape". Embarkment: about a half hour wait, but as a "priority" passenger, I had a separate seating area and we boarded first. The ...

Booked the Pride about ten days prior to departure on Premier casino cruise. 3rd time in 14 months on the Pride, We call the Pride our favorite even though the last few on her have gone down in service and food quality. This one was our least favorite. As I have read reviews in recent months and last year or two regarding the food, service and passenger behavior, we can say we did see a ...

Food and Crew Wonderful -- Suite not so much!

This was our 29th cruise (5th on Carnival) and since we live close to Baltimore we take a Carnival cruise every couple of years. We were cut short a day due to a storm prohibiting the previous cruise from returning to port. Upgraded to Vista Suite for the first time mainly for the wrap around balcony and the separate bedroom. While it had a nice bathroom with double vanities and a huge tub with ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Pride

Chose this cruise because the port is 20 minutes from home. Been on many cruises and this was the 3rd time on the pride. It will be our last. The ship needs to be placed in dry dock for a complete refurbish. Many areas are rundown and rusty. Windows are filthy. On other ships, I would see crew cleaning external areas while we were in port. Never saw this on the pride. The food has gone ...

Our last Carnival cruise

We are a couple in our 60s; this was our 22nd cruise. Our friends came along, and this was only their 2nd cruise. Although we hadn't sailed on Carnival in 8 years, Pride's home port of Baltimore is only a 2-hour drive, so it's very convenient. We've never been huge fans of Carnival (this is our 5th time on Carnival and 2nd time on Pride), but we thought we'd give them one more chance to impress ...
