Oceanview stateroom with private balcony and twin beds that convert to king. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films.
Dated. Rusted screws holding paneling up - a CRT Television from 1983 (although my kids had a flat screen in their room). The TV channels were not available for most of the cruise, but you could watch the carnival programming on how to spend more money on board or at Diamonds International.
Oh and like I mentioned above the entire roof of the balcony was ripped off exposing fireproofing and clips and cables. Read entire member review >>
Loved the cabin! Tri was our steward and he was fantastic!! The cabin was right in the front and I was worried about motion sickness, but I was fine. Very little movement up there. Everything was extremely clean and we loved the balcony. Close to elevators and convenient to everything!! Very quiet cabin. The spa is overhead ! A totally blissful experience! The cabins on the Carnival are bigger than in the other cruise ships I have been on. We had a balcony which was nice. I am not sure whether it was an 8a or 8f. The cabin was clean and the cabin staff efficient Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was very nice and the stewards were the best I have ever had. It was too cold to use the balcony during the beginning and end of this trip so I probably would not pay for that again at this time of the year. There are so many nice places on the deck to sit out during the warm weather, you don't need the balcony. Read entire member review >>
Very roomy and clean. Nice shower and good lighting. Balcony was awesome. Steward service was excellent. Old style TV was funny and it needs more outlets. Plenty of closet space too. Read entire member review >>
Our room steward, Yasa, did an amazing job of keeping our room in tip top shape. At least twice a day he made sure we had towels, ice, that our bed was made, etc. He was very friendly and always called us by name, as did other staff members on the ship. If we needed something, we would leave him note and when we returned we would have what we requested. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was fine for two and for children using the 3rd/4th berths, but not four adults. Couch was not available to use as such and bunk was always down, making it crowded and uncomfortable. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was at the end of the hallway, near a bulkhead, so it was easy to find. We brought to the attention of our steward, Herry, that our balcony door had a really loud squeak and he made sure that it got fixed right away. On several nights, we left our balcony door open and enjoyed the sea air streaming into our room. As long as you remember that ship cabins are, by necessity, small and compact, you won't be disappointed. We had enough room for two people.Herry tuned our television to the "welcome aboard" video, and then the "disembarkation" video at the end of the cruise. We did not watch any television during the cruise. The cabin lighting was great. One suggestion, take a power strip to plug into the dresser for charging phones, tablets, laptops, etc. There is one outlet in the bathroom, but it says "shavers only." Read entire member review >>
8127 was our cabin, balcony. THe cabin was good, no problems other than the not allowing me a wine opener so i had to page a crew member every hour to open our wine. Security issue with a cork opener? WOW! Read entire member review >>
Carnival Pride Cabin 8208 - nice balcony; good location. Near the MidShip Elevator; under Mermaid's Grill. We didn't hear anything from above us nor did we hear any elevator noise. Read entire member review >>
Adequate storage space - more than we needed actually. Good water pressure.
Close to elevators and Lido stairs. Quiet location. Still some idiots smoking on the side and above us - boo. Balcony is ok for sitting but not for having a meal. Decent TV channel selection. Read entire member review >>
Perfect location mid-ships. Right next to main glass elevators but no noise from them. Large main bed and the 2 bunks for our kids were perfect. Balcony was a plus. Very private. Shower was bigger than ours at home! Felt quite a vibration from the engines while laying in bed but seemed to go away after a couple days or we got used to it. Plenty of drawer space for clothes and all emptied luggage fit under main bed. Very happy with the room. Read entire member review >>
The room had a great view and we really enjoyed were it was located on the ship. There is suprisingly a lot of closet space. There were times that you could hear people pushing carts around on the deck above us but it wasn't bad enough to bother us. We enjoyed the room enough to rebook the same room on are next cruise. Ample closet space. It had 2 big closets and many drawers. All our luggage fit under our bed. Great balcony. only thing we were near the captains bridge so.... lol However I felt we had he best views. Was always on the side that overlooked the ports when coming in. A lot of doors slamming but quickly noticed that this was what it was and not done intentionally. Read entire member review >>
5140, Pretty good size, view was great, very quiet location, a couple floors above the auditorium where all the production numbers occurred and just below that is where the comedians performed so the location was perfect for what we wanted to see. Read entire member review >>
8210: directly under the entrance to the Mermaid Grill kitchen. Noisy rumbling of carts going up and down the aisles and thumping as they crossed the threshold between the kitchen and the dining areas. Strongly urge you to not book 8208, 8210, 8212. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 8192 was right under the Lido deck and across from the stairs. There was no noise from the stairs or next-door cabins, but periodic rumbles from things being moved on the Lido deck. I did not find it disturbing--it was only as loud as very distant thunder at most. The balcony was nice with comfortable chairs (adjustable backs). Very convenient location for running up to the Lido; also right near the elevators and central stairs for quick trips down to the public rooms on decks 2 and 3. I would not hesitate to book this cabin again. Read entire member review >>
