Interestingly shaped cabin - suite that slept 3. Only criticism was that the drapes/curtains did not completely block out the sun so at 6am every morning when it was sunrise, the light came pouring in and immediately woke me. Read entire member review >>
Loved, loved the cabin. Bed was very comfy. Plenty of space for us. We couldn't get our usual cabin on the Main Deck AFT, so we chose an Extended Balcony AFT one deck up. We really liked the size of the balcony. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was fine. My steward didn't speak English so we had a hard time understanding each other. He forgot the room service forms, and other info...and my final bill was put in my outside holder..naked and NOT in envelope ... for everyone to see...Shame on you Carnival.
Only ONE electric outlet ...thank heavens I brought extension cord. The roof on my balcony needed repair...water from above constantly seeped down even when there was no rain! The shower had nice container that kept cheep soap from falling ..and nice mirror attached to wall near sink..just too high for me use. Hard bed..I got used to it in three days. Oh well. Our room (5268) was fine, always clean and well maintained by the staff. A little on storage space. Our balcony was functional, enough room for 2 chairs and the aft view was spectacular. Read entire member review >>
We came in with great expectations. We've enjoyed aft facing balconies before and expected nothing less on the Pride. However, to start, our room was not cleaned well before we arrived. We found a bobby pin and a Tic Tac from the previous guests on our stateroom floor, table was sticky with maple syrup and an empty Coke can full of cigarette butts was left on the balcony. As soon as I spoke to Guest Services about it, they inspected the cabin, so I expected to return to a shiny, clean stateroom. However, even after the "housekeeping inspection," the bobby pin was still sitting in the middle of the floor, the table was still sticky and the Coke can sat on our balcony for three days until the balcony was scheduled to be cleaned. I had heard of complaints of an engine rattle and possible temperature control issues with this cabin. We experienced both, unfortunately. The rattle usually came from lighting panels and the crown molding and couldn't be fixed. It was also inconsistent, which, for us, made it worse. The thermostat could not be adjusted and we spent 12 of the 14 nights in much warmer than preferred temperatures. All that being said, we were treated very nicely by our cabin staff throughout the entire cruise. Read entire member review >>
Second time we've had an aft cabin on the Main (4th) deck, which is the lowest of the five levels that have aft cabins. When the ship is moving, there is always the noise from the wake so it's not exactly quiet on the balcony. When in bed, there's always a little vibration from being directly above the screws, which is kind of like when you're a kid lying across the back seat of a car on the highway. I love this but some people wouldn't. There were three adults in the cabin but it never felt crowded. The third person's bed is the sofa converted to a bed which was quite cozy and comfortable. Nice, clean and fairly spacious for 3 people. Comfy beds, nice balcony with great unobstructed view. Shelves in bathroom were awesome, good water pressure, could have used a few more drawers for our clothes. The only downer about this room was the constant vibration any time the motor was running (when we were moving). Hard to sleep with all that vibration. If that bothers you, pick a cabin mid-ship. Awesome View, Two Closets (for hanging clothes, including about ten hangers in each), a third closet for folded clothes. Three drawers in vanity. Another cupboard by the bed. And storage in the night stands. Bed is a little on the hard side, moderate vibration when you sit/lay down but I thought it was soothing. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. Several shelves on bathroom mirror for amenities, bathroom is small-bring an air freshener-gel cone (I'll let you figure out why). Bring a tube of round lip gloss ($0.99 wet n' wild) to stick in track on balcony door so you can hear the ocean at night. On balcony, small table, chaise lounge chair (that also sits up), and a regular chair. Storage under bed for suitcases. Read entire member review >>
