First time very disappointed

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

Went on my first cruise, carnival pride and was not impressed at all, the food was subpar and some of the staff didn’t seem like they wanted to help and seemed bothered if I stopped them to ask a question. Our neighbors had there kids unattended running up and down halls all night and slamming doors and we reported it several times and finally the day before we got home the noise stopped. So many ...

Old ship poor care

We have been on numerous Carnival ships as well as on several other cruise lines. Pride was the worst maintained I have seen. Extensive exterior rust even salt buildup inside the windows on the lido deck. The roof over the midships pool leaked like a sieve. My wife looked in the refrigerator the 4th night and found a plate of rancid food and several drinks. Don't know how long they had been there ...

Not Proud of the Pride

Chose this cruise because the port is 20 minutes from home. Been on many cruises and this was the 3rd time on the pride. It will be our last. The ship needs to be placed in dry dock for a complete refurbish. Many areas are rundown and rusty. Windows are filthy. On other ships, I would see crew cleaning external areas while we were in port. Never saw this on the pride. The food has gone ...

TOO MUCH SMOKE/NOT GOOD EXPERIENCE !

I chose this cruise because my family wanted to cruise and not have to fly to do it. I had been on this ship before and it was ok. I thought it would be better this time since it was a few years ago since my last trip. SMOKING, SMOKING, SMOKING, I had no idea that carnival allowed smoking on the ship, at almost 4 areas. I was sick the entire time, the smoke caused lung issues and breathing ...

Rusty ship with lukewarm food and disinterested staff

This cruise line was chosen by a family member to have a family reunion. Checking onboard in Baltimore was quick and orderly. Once onboard we explored the ship while waiting for our cabin. Once in the cabin, the amount of rust, holes in the steel from rust, and rusted through stiffeners was quite noticeable on our balcony. It was also covered in salt. Needed to use a towel on the hand rail ...

Honeymoon, no airfare required, Platinum status with Carnival this cruise seemed like a great option. 2 days prior to sailing we got call to upgrade from french door interior to balcony for $300 total. Since this was our honeymoon sailing we did it. The entire cruise I received all paperwork for another couple. Our room steered even called us by these names when we finally met hi m on day 4. ...

This was not a long planned cruise; it was a spur of the moment trip. Cruise originated out of Baltimore. We are within driving distance to Baltimore. Embarkation was very smooth, parked car in port lot and we were on our way. There was a glitch in our dining reservations, so our first stop was to straighten out our sitting. We were accommodated by a very pleasant young crew member. ...

I have cruised on Carnival 9 times and this was the 2nd to worst cruise. The activities were lacking, the assistant wait staff was poor for the first few days and one Alchemy Bartender was really rude and not customer friendly. On the other hand our cabin steward Rommel was an awesome professional, our waiter Mehmet was the saving grace and the lobby bartender Katherine was the best ...

Room was terrible; staff are just ok; it's a party ship

We chose this cruise because it disembarks out of Baltimore and it was easy to get to. This is why I'm giving it 2 stars: 1. Our room had a squeaky bunkbed that squeaked all night long; a really LOUD shrieking non-stop sound. The only way we could get it to die down, was by jamming stuff in the wall where the bunkbed frame was secured against the wall. Staff came about 3 times and could ...

Need updated boats very soon for Baltimore

This is my second time cruising on Carnival Pride from Baltimore. It has been 8 years since I been on this boat. This boat needs a really good renovation. It's outdated from the decor to the ship. Some spots were leaking where we were standing, the decor is old and peeling. You can see all of the aging and wear and tear on the ship. The bathroom shower kept overflowing and water was everywhere on ...
