Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sunshine

We decided to try the sunshine as curiosity to see the changes since the Destiny, we were skeptical due to the many reviews but it was a five day sailing and couldn't be a bad way to spend a few days. We loved the serenity area, while it was crowded, most chairs and clamshells were gone by 9:00. That did not concern us as we are morning people and were by the pool about 6:00. We did see ...

Awesome Ship and Vacation!

The Carnival Sunshine, although built in 1996, looks and acts like a brand new ship with it's $155,000,000 extreme renovation in 2013. The decor is gorgeous, (more sophisticated and subdued than some more gaudy Carnival ships.) The embarkation went very smoothly. Because we upgraded last minute to a suite, we were able to skip the long lines at the port. We went from the dock to our cabin in ...

25th Anniversary Cruise, Gone Bad

We were so excited about this cruise and an optimistic attitude when boarding. The boarding process was very smooth and went pretty quick when you look at how many passengers were trying to board. Took a couple of hours to get luggage to our room which was not bad at all. Trouble started at dinner on the first night, we were criticized by another couple at our table for not wearing appropriate ...

Carnival is the WalMart of cruising

My wife and I had the opportunity to sail on Carnivals Valor western Caribbean sailing. Although we cruise often, we have preferred others to Carnival, but the price point of this sailing was too good to pass up. Embarkation was good. We had purchased the “faster to the fun” package. It was beneficial, and sped up the process greatly. Port Canaveral is upgrading their terminal, and in the ...

Just horrible. This was my first and last cruise with carnival. Boarding was ok considering the amount of guests. It took over 4 hours for our luggage to be delivered to our stateroom. The worst part of our trip was when we discovered bedbugs on the 4th night of the cruise @ 2am! We were moved to another cabin and they took our belongings to be cleaned and steamed (it took 2 days) for them ...

The staff was commendable - excellent service (for the most part). Room stewards were fantastic, cheerful, timely. I always love listening to the wide variety of accents and talking to staff about their home countries. Bizarrely, I found I had to seek out alcoholic beverages more often than I am used to on cruises. The last cruise I went on (not Carnival), staff tended to us in the hot tub, ...

OK, But Far Inferior to Others

To begin with let me start by saying I enjoy cruising, I really do. This was my first cruise as a young adult (22) that I went on with my mother, grandmother, brother and cousin. I first sailed with Carnival at the age of 16 on the Carnival Sensation which I at first disliked (it took me a while to get used to Carnival's gaudy 'Las Vegas' style decor and over the top emphasis on 'fun' but I soon ...

As for most vacations, it is what you make of it. We were in a grand suite (7298) which was terrific but no other real perks come with with the suite. The AC worked GREAT and I slept like a baby all week! The room steward was terrific and the room was cleaned twice per day. The food ... eh ... was ok at best. MAKE TIME TO GO TO SCARLETT'S ... food was terrific! The dining room food was the ...

I literally spent months worrying about Carnival Sunshine after reading so many negative reviews (it's the lowest rated of the 24 Carnival ships with only a 62% rating). I was very concerned about reports of overcrowding, water leaks, poor food, bad service, long lines. Our family did NOT experience any of the above problems during our 8 night cruise to St Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan Puerto ...

Not for British Families with Children Who Have Already Cruised Before

I am a brit, travelling with children and was lucky enough to be able to compare it to the larger ships and other companies like Royal Caribbean. If this is your first cruise, I'm sure you would enjoy it more than we did. It was not half as good as any previous cruises and i will not travel with Carnival again. Personally i should have paid the extra and gone on Royal Caribbean. ...
