We chose this cruise for the location, time and price. That was a mistake. Customer service shouldn't be in their vocabulary bc they have zero. We had no ac in our stateroom for 3 full days after saying something to the attendant within several minutes of boarding. My husband has medical issues and had we not brought a fan from home, it would have been miserable. I fell on the pool deck in a huge ...
Overly pleased with my cruise experience with Carnivel out of Norfolk Virgina .Boarding was orderly and my luggage was at my storeroom in a reasonable time. Plenty of food morning noon and night. Anything you wanted to eat was available The wait staff in dining room and the buffet were more than outstanding. They were friendly and helpful to your needs.
Entertainment and activities were ...
This was my second time cruising with the sunshine from Norfolk va. The first time last year was so nice and I had a ball. I wanted to take my sisters because they never cruised before and I was so excited to share this with them. The weather was horrible but that's wasn't carnival fault. The clean up staff was fantastic. Very friendly. The bartenders was friendly. That's the good news. ...
value and close to home. the ship is set up well.it has the nicest serenity decks that we have seen on carnival.the whole staff wasvery nice.lee was a great cruise director.the five day itenarary isto rushed.if they decide to come back to norfolk it should be changed back to a sixday cruise.you have to cruise to fast both ways, which makes it uncomfortable when the seas are rough.the balcony on our ...
We thought of taking a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore, but doing so costs us a whole day at sea. I would rather take that day in a foreign port than at sea. Being from Tidewater, I truly appreciate the convenience of leaving from Norfolk. Plus, Grand Turk and Amber Cove, DR are new ports for us, another reason to take this cruise.
We cruised last year on the Carnival Splendor so I ...
•Background information- This was my 26th cruise - my third with Carnival. I had my 79th birthday on the cruise. I use a mobility scooter because I can't walk far or stand for long. My partner was a younger woman friend. It was her first cruise. We went to Nassau, Amber Cove, Dominican Republic and Grand Turk.
This cruise had really high winds and rough seas a majority of the time that ...
this was the second cruise for my wife and I both being on Carnival. The first was a 5 day cruise last Oct. out of Norfolk Va and the second being this past week on an 8 day cruise also out of Norfolk .Everything on board was exceptional from Guys Burgers to Farenheight555 to the evening dining room meals. They fed you well. Entertainment every evening was great especially the Hypnosis show. We ...
Food was served cold most nights in the dining room. Guys was our savior. Food selection in dining room very limited. The entertainment or lack of, was horrible. The Floor shows are 2nd rate and they no longer have a show band. It's obvious they are cutting corners and staff is limited. No nightlife except for the casino. The staff where all very friendly. They all really work hard to be helpful. ...
only had to travel 15 minutes to port. Rooms were great, but received very poor service in anytime dining. Recommend people sign up for designated time. anytime dining is like a mase that is difficult to get through. Service was lousy and food was not what we ordered. But I will definitely cruise the sunshine again. Overall we had a great time. Free drinks in the casino, cookies in the room, Free ...
My friends (three couples in all) and I chose this cruise because it was leaving from our city. Convenience is a good thing. Embarking and disembarking could not have been easier. This is the easiest port I have gone in and out of. We were on the Carnival Sunshine. We just got back in today June 20, 2016.
All in all we loved the cruise, and the staff were great. The ship was clean, the ...
