Dining - When I booked the cruise, I had selected "Anytime Dining" but was actually assigned an 8:15 pm reservation for each night of the cruise. I didn't realize my dining reservation had changed until I went to one of the dining rooms and was told I had to come back at 8:15 pm because that is what is printed on the Sail and Sign Card. AT first, I thought I had made an error in booking and blew ...
I’ll start by saying this was my first cruise. The staff and crew were amazing! I have zero complaints as far as the Carnival crew goes, the people who were also on this cruise are a different story…. I’ve never seen so many rude, obnoxious, and disrespectful people in one place. Groups of teenagers roaming the ship day and night, yelling and screaming, and fighting outside of your room. Early ...
I wouldn’t recommend carnival anymore. I have been going on carnival for years and loved it up until my recent experience. They have cut cost where they shouldn’t. People go on a cruise for the food let’s be honest but their food was like greasy diner quality for the so called fancy dinner. Most of my meals would have been better at Waffle House. The chicken was dry the desserts were not good ...
This was mine and my fiance's first ever cruise for the both of us. We really enjoyed the comedy shows, especially the big one the last night of sailing. The 'how to make towel animals' seminar was a fun little expo (special recognition to the gentleman who ran that event, he was really upbeat, cheerful, and funny). The dining experiences were really good and we loved our waiter(s), they were both ...
The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because we had an Amazon cabin steward, the bar tenders at the Red Frog on the Lido Deck were friendly, and the manat the Java station knew my husbands name. The food in the dining room was good, and so was guys burgers. The food on the buffet was horrible and it was yhe same every night. The staff was rude and if you asked them where something was they ...
We booked this cruise for our anniversary 2 years prior & were SO excited. This is my 8th cruise and my husband’s 1st. It was underwhelming to say the least. The decor & design was tacky in the public rooms and the staterooms. The service was SO poor (besides in the atrium bar & dining room). The lido deck was superrrr tiny. The bartenders (especially on the lido deck) treated us like we were a ...
This was my first, and possibly last, cruise.
The Good:
1) Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful and patient at all times. Even at 3am when I couldn't sleep that one night and wandering to the deck, I was greeted with a friendly smile and "Good Morning".
2) WAY comfortable beds. Except for one night, slept very well, even in 20-foot seas.
The BAD: (brace yourself)
1) Food was pig ...
We chose a January 2024 cruise to get back in the cruising groove after having 2 cruises cancelled during Covid in 2020/2021.
All excited to finally get back on a Carnival Cruise Ship we haven't been on, out of New Orleans. We had a wonderful day and a half in New Orleans, exploring the sights and sounds and food.
We parked free at the cruise port with Florida Disabled Vet Plates and used ...
Our personal experience, on board, was bad. First, the ship is definitely showing its age. We witnessed a few floods in the cabins, but the lido deck has a lot of soft spots.
The next issue was with the illnesses all over the boat. Even on day 2, members we already getting sick. By day 4, the captain started marking operational changes but more people continued to get sick.
another ...
Carnival Valor was a little disappointing. I had a better time on the Elation and that ship is tiny compared to the Valor. Food in the buffet and dining room was horrible. Burgers, burritos and the Wok was good. Entertainment was ok but needs work. Just not impressed. Love and marriage show was horrible. That’s usually our favorite show of the cruise. Movies were good. Lido entertainment could ...
