The steak house was fantastic little pricey but worth it the buffet needs work. Went on 2 excursions 1st too the myan ruins lots of walking and climbing so if you have back or leg issues I don't recommend, 2 vip Beach trip well worth the money food and staffing just fantastic. Spa was great got the body scrub and massage lasted 50 minutes. Karaoke was a blast everyone there was very supportive of ...

Family Fun Time on a Fun Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

We selected a Carnival Valor cruise, because the New Orleans port was easy for all of us to get to and a five-night cruise seemed to be the right length for both the first-time cruisers and the "gold status" cruisers. The ship was packed, and you could really notice that on embarkation day and in between the end of early dinner and the beginning of late dinner, as well as at some of the bars in ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Glory

We combined a trip to the National WWII Museum in New Orleans with this cruise. This was the only reason for selecting the Glory. Our hotel (Holiday Inn Express) is a little over a half mile from the cruise terminal but after walking the Riverwalk and Convention Center, I don't think that there is a way to get there other than by taxi. Cost was around $20. We had an early check in time and from ...

We thought it would be fun to cruise out of New Orleans. Getting on the ship was a breeze! We had a suite so it was the first time we had priority boarding. We got to the port at 11:15 and were on the ship eating lunch by 11:30. Sail away was awesome - very cool to sail though the city and down the Mississippi. Our room steward, Webster was AMAZING. He took good care of us and also always started ...

This was my very 1st cruise and it was booked for me for my birthday. It was for 4 days. Some of the foods were served cold and distasteful. That was fine. My main ussie was being attacked by bedbugs! I started i5ching day 2! By the time we got back I was swollen, itching and red on my arms, legs and ear. I made an appointment and it was confirmed that it was bedbugs. I had to get a shot and ...

Some of the Carnival workers at the port in New Orleans were very rude and were actually yelling loudly at us and other people that we spoke to had the same experience. We travelled with friends and they actually yelled loudly at them because the wife was holding both documents in her hand. They also told them to step out of line because of it. They sent me and my husband to another line as we had ...

NOLA is the most convenient port for us to leave from. We have done this cruise many times. This time I enjoyed my fellow cruisers more than any other time. So talented that we stayed at karaoke night after night over the entertainment staff. Seriously, record execs should have been there ready to sign some truly gifted singers! I’ve never heard such talent at karaoke before. Staff was ...

Typical Carnival Cruise

TLDR: It looks like cruising is back to pre-covid standards - more or less. Embarkation: New Orleans is always a nightmare getting to the port. I realize this isn't under Carnival's direct control, but it seems like they'd have some power to get New Orleans to figure out some way to get this organized better. But once inside the terminal, things went smoothly and quickly. Food: Food ...

Carnival vs Norwegian

Overall, had a great time. Frequent Norwegian cruisers but choose Carnival based on exact sailing date and location. Carnival better than Norwegian - Embarkation: Fast, easy, and on ship less than 15 minutes. Keys waiting at room. no waiting in lines, giving credit card, checking in with passports ect - Bar service: No waits, even at pools - Dining service: Server knew our ...
