Ideal for college kids and party-seekers, less so for families.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our first cruise. There were four of us - my husband and I and our two daughters, ages 9 and 14. The food was good, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating (with the notable exception of the pool bartenders), and everything was clean and well-kept. There are two pools, both very small considering the ship's capacity (roughly the size of a backyard pool), but they are expected ...

We love Carnival and The Dream! We love the excellent crew on the ship and how welcoming and thoughtful they are. I have NEVER experienced anything but kindness from them and them going out of their way to serve. Bagus, our room steward was awesome. Rico and Allan in the dining room were fabulous. We are always sad to leave the dining room staff on that last night. The shows this time were ...

I never been to Jamaica. I been to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was the first time in more than 20 years or more ago since i was at Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Also the same for the Mississippi River. The food service was 9/10 for me. One day i left fruit on my table and then was cleaning it up.Lucky it saw him do. The shows were good but they have some obstruction blocking the view of the stage. ...

Embarkation was a breeze with the Faster to the Fun option. We were some of the first to get on board and our luggage was there and our room was ready. Others had to wait for hours dragging their carry on bags with them everywhere. The ship was kept very clean considering it was quite crowded. Food was very good. Do not miss out on the Pig and Anchor bar-b-que! It's only open certain hours so ...

We had a wonderful time aboard the Dream! Embarking was hot and slower than I remember but in all everything went smoothly. Our cabins were great and service was just as good. We love morning coffee on the balcony one of my favorite things Guys burgers and the burrito bar awesome especially breakfast burritos. Our dining server Eka was the best ever. Every night she had our drinks ...

Everything was done so well. Staff was very nice and helpful. Loved our room (8280). Balcony too hot usually. The ship was always hopping and there was always good food. Alvardo in the dining room was so professional and nice. Our room was immaculate; thanks to "Pie". Ports were nice; we arranged our excursions privately and everything was wonderful. We really tried to cram too much into the ...

We love that the Dream is so close to home for us and we loved the ship! We live outside of Baton Rouge, so being able to cruise out of New Orleans and having a short drive is very appealing to us. We love the Dream! Especially the new additions since being in dry dock earlier this year. Guy's Burgers is the bomb!!!!! Best hamburger and LOVE the fries with ranch dressing. Perfect snack while ...

I have cruised several times on Carnival ships. Two years ago, I sailed on the Magic and had an amazing time, so when planning summer vacation for 2017, I naturally thought of the Magic’s sister ship, the Dream. From the very beginning, the trip did not live up to my expectations. The New Orleans port staff was extremely rude and put a bad taste in my mouth instantly. Once onboard, my husband and ...

The best cruise my family has ever been on!

We chose this cruise because we heard some great things about the Carnival Dream. I must say, the things that we heard were not exaggerated in the least. Do yourself a favor and take this cruise if you ever get the opportunity to do so. This was by far the best cruise line and ship that my family and I have ever been on, hands down. The ship was magnificent. It had all of the amenities that anyone ...
