Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

The Valor is an older ship and she shows her age some, however, it's still a great boat and an awesome experience! We sailed out of New Orleans and ported in Cozumel and Progreso in January. The weather was a little on the brisk side till we got further south. I could spend most of my time on the boat bc they have so many things to do. We ended up upgrading our room to a balcony last second and ...

This was our 3rd and 4th cruises on the Glory out of New Orleans. The first cruise was supposed to be to Grand Cayman and Jamaica, but a week or two before the cruise it was changed to Belize and Roatan. So we did back to back cruises to the same ports, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. The second cruise was just in reverse, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. This was our first time to Belize and Roatan. ...

not sure what to expect

We chose this cruise because we wanted to leave from New Orleans again. We did it several years ago and liked going down the River. New Orleans has not changed much, Bourbon Street is still trashy and smells worse than I remember. This was our 11th cruise and was not sure what to expect after Covid. Embarkation went pretty smooth, not much changed there, except for the mask thing. We went right to ...

Panama Canal Disappointment on Carnival Glory

We are frequent cruisers with over twenty five trips in as many years. This was typical of the passengers on this trip - retired people. Many of the passengers take multiple cruises per year, often back-to-back on the same ship. Only a couple of children on this trip. A lot of scooters and walkers on the ship, but fewer than on a Princess cruise. A lot of brand loyal Carnival people talked ...

Our first back-to-back

My wife and I were in an aft, extended balcony cabin for the November 6 and November 11 Carnival Valor cruises out of New Orleans. We cruised in an extended balcony cabin two doors down in January of 2020. This cruise, there was an AC problem that kept the cabin a little warm (hence the 3 of 5 rating). They brought us a floor fan and that made it ok for both cruises. The Valor has a new ...

First time in a suite, second time on the Glory

We've done the Dream, Glory and Valor before out of New Orleans. This is our first cruise since COVID. The Faster to Fun was rescinded for the COVID cruise so we had to wait until they let us on the ship and wait until 1:30 to go to the room. The ship was half full or less. The crew were very personable, like our other cruises. The shows were the same as before COVID but they still did a ...

We traveled on the Carnival Glory March 1-8, 2020. We flew in the night before and used Uber to get to the port in the morning. We got to the port at around 11:30, dropped off our luggage and it took about an hour before we made it inside and through security for boarding. We went up to the Lido Deck for a Guys Burger and a drink before heading to our room to drop off our carry on luggage. ...

Good cruise

Wanted to see the Panama Canal Cruise was good. Had a few hiccups with getting off the ship. We arrived late in one port , and rather than let passengers off by excursion time, they let everybody off at once. People got on the busses for the incorrect excursion time and had to be asked to get off so the correct people could get on. Could have been avoided with a little planning. Food ...

Embarkation/debarkation. No complaints. New Orleans has this down pat. Carnival should take what NOLA does and clone it for all their other ports. Ship. Before I go further, I must make it clear I am a fan of the older, smaller fantasy class Carnival ships, the Elation in particular. The Valor. My first time aboard her. She is a pretty ship. Decor is less 70's Vegas than the fantasy class, which ...

This cruise was booked to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We first cruised last year and we fell in love with cruising. We sailed out of New Orleans. We are from Louisiana so New Orleans was close. Previously we have sailed out of Galveston which we were not too fond of so we wanted to try something new. Overall I feel like it was a success. Embarkation was very seamless because we had faster ...
