This was my third Carnival cruise. We purchased faster to the fun; there was no priority boarding, our room was not ready at 12:30 when we got there, I called guest services three times for room issues with no answer, no priority line for excursion debarkation or embarkation, the f2f guest services line took longer than the regular line, no priority seating for dining, but there was priority ...
Overall the experience was what you expect from a cruise aside from being kid friendly. Out of the six hot tubs and two pools, only two hot tubs and one pool allowed children under 18. On the main pool deck that did allow children, at 7 pm dive in movies would start and only two of them were kid friendly. Kids club was only open for a couple of hours at a time everyday and at very erratic times. ...
This ship just got a “refurb” of sorts. It had pretty new paint and evidently, that’s about it. This ship feels super dated. Our room and the dining room had old 1990s pink trim everywhere. We stayed in room 8430, right under the rear pool on the Lido deck. While we didn’t have any pool noise, every single stupid night we woke up to the sound of scraping chairs from about 2-4am. Being right ...
Boarding the ship took forever, the food on board was mediocre, the Serenity area and all the other hot tubs would be shut down early right as we would start enjoying them (Serenity hot tubs should be open all night), The virtual reality arcade machine stole my money, Arcade games should be included with the cruise, too many "private" events, the wifi didn't work in our room and was extremely ...
This was a "girlfriend's" cruise for my wife. She turned platinum on this cruise. These are her comments.
Glory looked and felt old and run-down.
Food was not up to previous Carnival standards.
General cleaning was poor. Saw leftover coffee cups in the same spot for 2 days by the elevators. Elevator buttons were dirty the entire trip. I used my elbow to press them. Ship's windows ...
The food was terrible in both the dining room and Lido buffet/cafeteria. The menu's were virtually the same. It felt like I was eating at the Golden Corral or Hometown buffet. I couldn't wait to get off and eat airport food. We gave up on the dining room because no matter how many times we asked (and this happened to others) we couldn't get things we asked for like butter. I finally gave up trying ...
We chose the cruise to have a fun New Year's Eve and relax after the business of the holidays... We didn't expect a lot because we've cruised with Carnival before, but it was available and close to home. There was nothing exceptional about the cruise. Our room only got cleaned in the morning (no night time turn down with chocolate on the pillow), no extra special touches at all. The food in the ...
Food in the dining room was excellent as usual, but the buffet was not nearly as good as it usually is. Desserts on the buffet were tasteless and lacked variety. Cookies were hard as rocks. Breakfast at the buffet was delicious, but lunch and dinner were awful. There were about 5 choices for each meal.
Room stewards were friendly and the service was wonderful. They kept the room spotless. ...
This is one of the worst ships I’ve been on! This was my 2nd Carnival Cruise. I will stick with NCL or RC from now on.
This was a family cruise so we had 7 ppl with 2 staterooms.
The activities were good and we especially liked the Dr Seuss breakfast.
Cookie the cruise director was hilarious and likable. The shows were good. The dining room staff were excellent and our cabin steward ...
we flew from edinburgh to new orleans with delta ...first horrible experience,,stayed in nice hotel in new orleans,Boarded ship ..great ,quick and efficient no problems, cabin was a good size and was kept spotless by cabin crew no worries there but it was at front of ship and the engine noise on three nights was horrendous no sleep, never heard noises like it so make sure your cabin is towards the ...
