It was a little stressful the week before our trip waiting to see what Hurricane Isaac was going to do. Everything actually worked out just fine though. We flew into New Orleans the day before. The city of New Orleans was in pretty good shape after the storm but some of the outlying areas still did not have power back on.

Took a B2B starting Sept 17th - 5 Days followed by 5 Days. Our last time on the Elation was 2004. We enjoy the class of ships with a common blvd, used to be Carnival Blvd, now Elation Way.

My husband and I took our first cruise on the Elation this August 2012. It was supposed to be a 5 Night 6 day out of New Orleans but ended up being a 6 night 7 day due to Hurricane Isaac.

Our group was myself, wife, son and daughter in law. This was our second cruise, both with Carnival. We flew in from Ohio. Worrying about the hurricane that was brewing in the gulf.
We pre-purchased the Carnival shuttle from the airport to the port. Went very smooth.
