Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Conquest

It was a little stressful the week before our trip waiting to see what Hurricane Isaac was going to do. Everything actually worked out just fine though. We flew into New Orleans the day before. The city of New Orleans was in pretty good shape after the storm but some of the outlying areas still did not have power back on. Embarkation went very smoothly the next morning. We found our room as ...

My best friend and I drove from Northwest Florida to New Orleans and parked at the Erato Street terminal. Easy bag drop off and parking. My friend needed a wheelchair, and was met promptly at the elevator, taken to the check-in, and taken directly to our room. We were on the Panorama deck and our steward, Johnson, did everything to keep us happy, bringing ice whenever we needed it. Terrific and ...

With an unexpected cruise planned and only given two weeks notice to pack, we began yet another journey. On Sept 16 we traveled to Kansas City and spent the night there so that we wouldn't have to drive during the early morning hours. Our flight was to be at 10 a.m. putting us in New Orleans a little past noon, but once again we experienced a delay due to mechanical problems. After sitting at the ...

Took a B2B starting Sept 17th - 5 Days followed by 5 Days. Our last time on the Elation was 2004. We enjoy the class of ships with a common blvd, used to be Carnival Blvd, now Elation Way. Stayed at Ramada Inn - Metairie, took the Stay and Cruise package. Nice clean rooms, elevators smell bad like rotting fish, probably standing water from Issac. Secure free parking, several cameras monitor ...

My fiance and I left from New Orleans (took the train from Memphis) on Sunday, 09/23/2012. Embarkation was surprisingly quick and smooth. Once aboard we did the usual walk around to check out the ship. This was our 3rd cruise, but our first on board the Conquest (Triumph the first two). We were very impressed with the ship; although 10 years old, she was in much better shape than the Triumph. We ...

We left out of New Orleans on Sept 16,2012 and arrived at the port around 11:00 that morning. We went through the lines pretty fast and was on the ship by noon. We went straight to the Lido deck and found a great service waiter named Adi! He was wonderful at his job and learned our names in seconds and remembered them the whole cruise! We went to our balcony room on the Upper deck around 4:00 ...

First Cruise was Great on ELATION

As a first time cruiser, I relied heavily on the information I received here on Cruise Critic, and most of it was great info! I had no idea how much to pack, and of course packed TOO much. The embarkation process was pretty smooth, in New Orleans, and would have gone better if I had not had SO much stuff ! Less next time! We had no problem finding where we had to go and how to get on board. ...

There were 8 of us traveling together on this cruise. My husband and I were celebrating our 49th anniversary and elected to take this 5 day cruise so we could meet up with other family members in New Orleans following the cruise. We have been on approximately 40 cruises so you can tell we love them. I will list the pros and the cons of this sailing. PROS: The size of the ship, I like the ...

My husband and I took our first cruise on the Elation this August 2012. It was supposed to be a 5 Night 6 day out of New Orleans but ended up being a 6 night 7 day due to Hurricane Isaac. Value/Cost: Well, I now know why I was able to book the cruise for less than 600.00 for 2 people.. It was PEAK hurricane season. i HIGHLY recommend paying a few extra hundred dollars and chose a proper time ...

Our group was myself, wife, son and daughter in law. This was our second cruise, both with Carnival. We flew in from Ohio. Worrying about the hurricane that was brewing in the gulf. We pre-purchased the Carnival shuttle from the airport to the port. Went very smooth. Embarkation- We got to the pier around noon, checked the bags when we got off the buss. And then we were stuck in quit a long ...
