Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Great Time on the Conquest!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

My partner and I scheduled this cruise just for relaxation and a "get away". We like to take a cruise every year. Once a month the Conquest includes stops at Key West and the Bahamas, and since neither of us had been to the Bahamas (and we've seen lots of Cozumel), this influenced our pick. Let me start by saying that if you live in the New Orleans metro area, or within a day's drive of The ...

Our ship was being tweaked still from the 2.0 upgrade. Mostly just cosmetic adjustments. The Hasbro games were not on the ship and this is supposed to be part of the 2.0 upgrade. Was not a big deal for me though. The entire process of getting dropped off to getting into our room went smooth. The staff was was amazing at every level. Jose, our cabin steward made sure our room was clean and ready ...

We decided to take a cruise for my 51st birthday. Our youngest was 17 so we figured they could survive without us for a week. We were in an interior cabin. No problem, as I didn't intend to spend much time there anyway. We enjoyed the various decks for sunning ourselves, while reading about the snow on the ground at home. We loved playing all the games scheduled during the day, especially all the ...

This was a surprise wedding anniversary for my parents, although they thought is was a family vacation. Big Surprise.....more like Shock!...LOL We were a group of 18. I use to live in Metairie and I hadn't been back to Naw'lins since Katrina so this was bittersweet for me. Many in the group had not been to Naw'lins before, so this was a party that started on Thursday, for some, Friday and ...

Arrived in New Orleans on Monday and did not sail until Saturday. Fell in love with New Orleans. This is definitely my new favourite port to sail from. Spending time there was amazing. So happy we decided to do that. Got to port about 11:25 and was on board eating lunch by 11:55. Easiest embarkation ever in over 20 cruises. FANTASTIC!!! Had oceanview Cabin on Main deck, M169 - odd layout but ...

We booked this cruise in order to take my parents, aged 78 and 82, on their first cruise ever. We thought October would be a calm time, free of many children, and we were right. The word for this cruise was CALM! We drove down the night before and stayed at Slidell. Bought some waters and wine at Walmart and got to the port around 11:00. Check in was fairly smooth. This was the first ...

We were dropped off at port at 10:30 & were on the ship at 11:30, eating lunch at fish & chips & lido buffet by 12:30. Rooms were ready at 12:30 so we dropped off our soda & wine & continued exploring. Our aft interior room was fine, no problems and our steward, Ferry was wonderful. Our free drink coupons, Gold VIFP pins & obc credits were waiting. Our bags were delivered before our 6 pm early ...

New 2.0 upgrades on the Conquest from New Orleans

New Orleans: This cruise was a last-minute happening -- and we paid probably the highest rates of anyone on the ship as a penalty for our tardiness in selecting. Then it became clear that it was the first sailing post-drydock AND it was a weekend confluence of tourist-heavy events (Halloween, music festival, football) in New Orleans. Unwilling to buy $499 for a hotel in the French Quarter, we ...

Embarktion and Disembarktion were smooth. The day leaving New Orleans we were delayed for a few minutes due to mechanical issues supposedly. It takes around eight hours to completly get out of distance of shore line. The first night we ate from the buffet but after that we ate in the main dining room each night which is something I would suggest to others. Breakfast from the buffet is different, ...

It was a little stressful the week before our trip waiting to see what Hurricane Isaac was going to do. Everything actually worked out just fine though. We flew into New Orleans the day before. The city of New Orleans was in pretty good shape after the storm but some of the outlying areas still did not have power back on. Embarkation went very smoothly the next morning. We found our room as ...
