Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Wonderful Cruise on the Carnival Conquest

This was my first cruise on a non-Fantasy class ship with Carnival, and both my husband and I are impressed with the Carnival 2.0 upgrades done aboard the Conquest. The ship looked and felt almost brand new, which only added to the element of luxury already present with the ship's French Impressionist themed decor. Everything from the cabins to the pool decks to the dining rooms was simply lovely. ...

We love the relaxation of taking a warm, Caribbean cruise in the winter months. Given our kids are now in college and not cruising with us, we pick a date that kids are in school. This was our 7th cruise, and fifth with Carnival. We love all cruises, and our trips on Celebrity and Princess were quite nice. We simply don't believe the extra price those brands commands are best for us...we ...

EMBARKATION We booked through Carnival for the February 3, 2013 departure from New Orleans on the Conquest. Only until after I went on Cruise Critic did I realize that was also Superbowl Sunday and Mardi Gras was going on. Figuring the traffic would be terrible since the port is very close to the French Quarter and the Superbowl happening, we left very early for the port. I don't know what ...

First timers on Carnival

Been on many cruises and wanted to try Carnival having heard mixed reports about them. We decided to do something we never do for this cruise and that was pay extra for a balcony, concerned that if we hated the ship and passengers, we could at least disappear to our bolt hole. This we did on a few occasions, although hated would not be the word I would use to describe the experience, far ...

Fantastic First Time Cruise!

We live only 146 miles from New Orleans so we decided to drive to the port for embarkation. After hearing quite a few stories about heavy lines to board the ship we arrived a few hours early. To our surprise there was not a person in front of us. We checked our bags and strolled through security with no problems at all, what a great way to start our trip. Once onboard we were able to easily ...

My wife and I traveled with her mom and sister. We stayed two nights at the Hyatt French Quarter. It's a really nice hotel with a great location. Be sure to go to Emeril's (Emeril LaGasse's restaurant) the food is amazing. We enjoyed our stay in NOLA doing things like going to Cafe Du Monde for Beignets and walking down Bourbon St. at night. Boarding the Carnival Conquest was a breeze if ...

We took our ninth Carnival cruise on the beautiful Conquest out of the Port of New Orleans on January 13th. This was another great Carnival experience for a middle age couple with a love of cruising. Each cruise experience reinforces our belief that cruising is the best vacation value around and Carnival always delivers in all the areas that matter. Having cruised other lines, we find we always ...

"Worst cruise ever" was what we would say when we were having a great time on the ship. After reading so many reviews of complaints and whining we decided to make fun of those people. Stayed downtown New Orleans the day before the cruise at the Omni Royal. It was great. There were 16 of us out on Bourbon Street the night before the cruise and had a great time. I would recommend the dueling ...

My husband and I have sailed several other lines, and were wondering if the quality of food/service would have suffered since our last Carnival cruise. Exactly the opposite! Let me tell you more....embarkation staff was excellent....we were in lines like everyone else and Carnival rep noticed my husband walking assisted by a cane. We were immediately sent to 'special disabilities' check ...

We went on the Carnival Elation in early January 2013. We had a junior suite and was given priority boarding. I would say the embarkation was the best of any cruise we have been on to date. We were escorted to a special check-in areas and we missed all the normal lines during check-in. It was very nice to hear from all the Carnival Employees thanking us for returning to cruise with them again. We ...
