We wanted to do something memorable for our 25th wedding anniversary and this cruise was just the ticket. From the excellent food and high class entertainment, this cruise had it all. Whether you wanted the fine dining of the steakhouse, the normal dining in the regular restaurants or just grabbing something on the go, we didn’t experience any bad meals. The cabin had plenty of room and was quite cozy when we did actually sleep. We had plenty of choices for excursions in the ports of call. There was something for everyone in each of the ports. The shopping opportunities in Grand Cayman & Cozumel we’re off the charts. Embarkation & debarkation both went very smoothly. I would highly recommend you purchase Faster to the Fun if it’s available when you cruise. We were able to embark well ahead of most of the cruisers which made that experience very nice. We are definitely looking forward to our next cruise! Read Less

My experience with Carnival Triumph cruise was great! It was our first family cruise and we all had fun. There is always something to do inside the ship. The number one thing you will do the most is eating. There is plenty of food! There is buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will fill up your whole plate! Honestly, you will gain weight during your cruise. The buffet food is good, it's nothing special but you will a lot. The burgers and pizza were awesome! I recommend them. My sister and I loved them! We would sneak out in the middle of the night and eat pizza. The pizza is 24 hours! The formal dining was good as well. My family was reserved for a late dining which sucks because we missed going to the other activities. The food and service was great anyways. All of the workers in the ship are very friendly. We felt comfortable talking to our waiters for the formal dining. They treated and served us very well. Their names were Rafnedi, Suryadi and Rohit. We enjoyed talking to them. The house keeping service was good. They cleaned our rooms twice a day. They worked so hard and we appreciate. I met the housekeeper, Put, and he was very nice and welcoming. It was very surprising that the workers remembered our names. It a respectful gesture. Since it was my first time in a cruise, I didn't expect much of the ship itself. The ship is huge and luxurious. It felt like we were in a really fancy hotel. The elevators were very nice, especially the ones that overlooked the ship. The pools were small. We didn't really like the swimming pools. But we enjoyed sunbathing and the movie nights. Relaxing under the sun with a drink is more enjoyable than being in a pool. Speaking of drinks! You will also get drunk in the ship. If you are not keeping up with tab, you will spend a lot of money on drinks. Our excursions contained enough activities for my family. In Cozumel, we went to Chakanaab Beach. We did snorkeling, watched a sea lion show and a tequila tasting. The snorkeling activity was fun. I loved the water. The water was straight up blue. Its so beautiful. It was a short activity but we were all content with it. Our tour guides Raul and Christian were very nice and they made sure everybody is safe and stayed within the schedule. In Progresso, our excursion was cancelled because not a lot of people bought it. We decided to tour around the city. The tour costs $9 person which, is a good price for a family of four. We simply toured around the city and learn a lot about the culture. After the tour, we went to the beach. The beach was free but not the food. We paid $20 just to get a table. It is expensive but what do you expect from a tourist spot. Be prepared to spend money! But its all worth it for the memories and experience. Overall, this cruise trip was good for my family. Each one of us enjoyed the little things and the big things that this ship offered us. This cruise will offer something you will enjoy! Read Less

We chose the cruise because we'd never been on a cruise before and it seemed like a good way to dip our toes into cruising. Our family could not go; it was just my wife and myself. All in all, an excellent choice. The wait staff in the London Dining Room was fantastic! The entertainment was first-rate (vocals less so than the dancing and the costumes) and the comedy clubs were great. The most notable feature of the Triumph cruise was that everyone got along with everyone else. It was PACKED! 3400 Passengers, and we never saw a dispute or an angry passenger. Great crew and great efficiency in getting passengers on and offboard. Very pleased with the comedy shows; very pleased with the enthusiasm of our waiter, Edwin. Even the buffets were pretty darn good. Especially liked the BlueIguana burritos and tacos, even for breakfast. Recommend an early boarding time and carrying your own luggage off the boat, if possible. Our shore excursion got cancelled, but we were able to reschedule. The Mexico shore excursions were not great, but were very good. We would go again. Read Less

I choose Carnival Triumph because my daughter wanted to see New Orleans, even though Galveston was our closest port. It was a 5 night cruise to the western Caribbean with stops in Cozumel and Progresso. Buying Faster to the Fun and reserving parking with Machu Picchu tours was the smartest thing I did. Angel with Machu Picchu parked our car, loaded our luggage into his van and then drove us to the front door of the cruise terminal (the line for parking at the terminal was horrendous). He unloaded our luggage, flagged a porter for us and gave us a sheet with the phone number to call when we got back. Being Faster to the Fun we had our own priority line and were one of the first ones on the ship. Our room was ready for us and we unloaded our carry one and were able to explore the ship and grab lunch on lido deck. I was traveling with my 18 yr old daughter and 16 yr old son. Our room was a balcony on Lido deck. It was more roomy than I was expecting and it was the perfect location. The atmosphere on the ship was awesome! Everyone was happy to be on vacation!!! The food on lido buffet was good, MDR was better, and Guys Bugers were the best!!! If you went hungry it was your own fault! Simon London, our cruise director, was great!!! We went to several of the activities he was hosting and he seemed to genuinely love his job and the result was the whole crowd seemed to come alive. It was just fun to be a part of it. Activities onboard were fun and we sometimes had a hard time deciding which ones we wanted to go to since several started at the same time. I used the Carnival Hub app to keep track of which ones I wanted to do and it was also handy to check how much we were spending on our Sign and Sail cards. Also, we used the “messenger” feature of the Hub app (for $5 a person) to let each other know where we were on the ship. It was a nice peace of mind for me to let my teenage kids do their “own thing”. My son didn’t want to attend Club O2, which was activities for his age group (15-17) but he said he had fun doing other things. I bought the smallest WIFI package and was able to connect to Facebook and Facebook Messenger, it let me check in with my family back home and let them know all was going great! I had decent reception throughout the ship. I booked excursions thru carnival, I probably could have gotten them cheaper but I liked the guarantee that if something unforeseen happened the ship wouldn’t leave us. And Carnival was very good about letting us know when and where we needed to be. The private all inclusive beach in Cozumel was what my daughter wanted to do and my son choose the Uxmal ruins in Progresso. We thoroughly enjoyed both!!! Disembarkation went smoothly, again thanks to Faster to the Fun. The overall condition of the ship was clean but worn. I knew going in that the Triumph was not the newest and shiniest ship of the fleet. And the service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding!!! It took a few days to learn our way around the ship but I never felt like it was to big to get around. Be prepared to be photographed a lot! Finding the pictures was not as hard as I thought as they are categorized by day and activity. They were a little expensive, but nice to have as memories of an awesome time. And all transactions on board are thru your sail & sign card. It was nice to not have to deal with cash but at the same time it was very easy to overspend. In hindsight I would have put a daily spending limit on my daughter’s card, lol. I loved this cruise, everything was so easy, and my kids loved it too. We’ve already booked another cruise with Carnival for next year, we can’t wait!!! Read Less

We chose the Dream out of New Orleans because it’s close to us. Embarking was so smooth and happy! The staff were so excited and helpful! Walking on to the ship and exploring the location for the week was great. The Dream is a beautiful ship, especially the atrium. Our room was clean. Our steward, Michelle, was on top of everything and we loved all her towel animals she left us! We went to all the playlist shows, comedy, and piano bar. All of the entertainment staff were talented and made our days on the boat memorable. So fun! The food in all locations was delectable. We loved the pizza, blue iguana tacos, and Guys burgers. The buffet at lunch was great, too! We ate every night in the dining room and enjoyed all of our meals. Our excursions were AWESOME and so were the ports. We cenote hopped in Cozumel and visited the Altun Ha Ruins in Belize. We just explored the port in Roatan and enjoyed all of the shops. The ship was clean and service throughout was phenomenal! We always had someone removing our plates, offering refills on drinks, and staff was seen cleaning and maintaining common areas daily. Disembarking process was seamless and stress free! We absolutely enjoyed our week on the Dream! Can’t wait to go back! Read Less

Simon London (Cruise Director) was awesome! We must have met and spoke with Simon more than a dozen times during the cruise. Simon seemed to be everywhere at one time. One minute we would be watching a show that he was hosting, and before we could even exit to the next event, he would already be there with a different change of wardrobe and entertaining an entirely different event. We joked the entire cruise that he either had a twin or a double that would stand in for him. We took many pictures with him and anytime that he saw us, he would walk through the crowd of people to come greet us and ask us how our day was going. He always informed us of the upcoming events and we even connected with him through the chat feature on the Carnival Hub App. It was so great and funny that he would respond to us through chat as there were literally thousands of people on the ship and he would take time out of his extremely busy schedule to chat with us. Captain Alessandro Lemmi was the most gracious of all hosts. We were first in line to meet him for the Captains Toast. Upon having our pictures taken, we made a very special yet unusual request. Captain briefly considered and obliged with a formal invitation to something that was beyond anything that we could have imagined that would happen. On our last sea day, we were invited by the captain to spend time with him and spent close to an hour with him. This is a memory that we will never forget. Captain Lemme was so regal and eloquent with us and is a true gentleman. We discussed his hometown in Italy and he was very interested in our hometown in Louisiana. We discussed his very successful career in the Italian Navy, as an officer with LPG Tankers, and now his tremendous position as Captain with Carnival Cruise Lines. Captain Lemmi is most certainly what made our trip as special as it was. We cannot hold him to a higher regard and compliment his graciousness, kindness, professionalism and being an amazing host in general. Moises Clarena (Guest Services Manager) was excellent, he was very accommodating and stopped by to check on us whenever he saw us out and about. We very much enjoyed his hospitality and professionalism. Every time we saw Moises, he knew who we were, would ask us how our day was and ask if there was anything that he could do for us. He is an excellent person and host and is a true professional that does a great job. Dinner in the London Dining Room (6pm) was excellent. The service by Martinez and Edwin was excellent. They were so much fun and knew us all by name along with what we drank each night. Martinez and Edwin were gracious hosts that catered to anything that we wanted. Our conversations with them carried on from one night to the next like we were old friends. They impressed us very much and we felt very fortunate that we were placed in their care. We prepaid gratuities before the cruise, but also felt that they deserved a great deal more than that, so we tipped them very handsomely in addition. Martinez and Edwin deserve to be recognized for their outstanding service and hospitality. Theresa (bartender at the Capital Bar on deck 3) was awesome. She had the most bubbly and friendly personality. She was always so excited every time she saw us. She made the most amazing drinks and truly stood out as such a happy person that really seemed to enjoy her job. Of all the amazing bartenders on the ship, Theresa was by far the best and our favorite. She truly has a tremendously bright future ahead of her. We did the Elite Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel excursion in Cozumel. Alejandro and his crew were phenomenal. This excursion far exceeded what we expected. Those guys catered to us like we were royalty. Alejandro and his crew were so much fun to be around. They let us drive the boat, they fed us an amazing Mexican meal that was accompanied with an endless supply of whatever we wanted to drink. They drove us all around the Western side of Cozumel while entertaining us constantly. They brought us to the most amazing places to snorkel while letting the current do all the work for us as we drifted near the boat down the beautiful coastline. Alejandro and his crew made this day extremely special. We also did the Mi Casa Su Casa excursion while in Progreso. Luis was a phenomenal guide and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the region. Luis was extremely friendly and made it very well known that when they said, “Mi Casa Su Casa”, they meant it. We were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped on the bus until we got back to port. The food, drinks, beach house, bartenders, butlers, guides, homeowners, massage therapists and chefs were all beyond amazing. We could not have been happier with Luis and this excursion. In conclusion, this was the first cruise for all four of us. Our party consisted of myself and my wife and our best friends (Rooms 8434 & 8439). The ship was great, so were the people and experiences. The price was excellent also. We bought the Cheers package for the unlimited alcohol and that was really cool because we never had to worry about how much our bill was going to be as it was all covered. We also booked a fifty minute deep tissue massage on the Cloud 9 Spa and it was great. Our friends and ourselves just booked next years cruise on the Carnival Glory that will visit Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel. We all look forward to trying more that Carnival has to offer. We just returned from a wonderful week on the Carnival Dream!! We have been on several Carnival ships and a couple of other ships not in the Carnival fleet. I would have to say this has been my favorite!! What made it the best? The crew first off was top notch! They were the best at making our stay a real vacation. The ship was immaculate and the crew was so polite and always made us feel like family. Next, the food was the best we had ever had on any cruise...from the hamburgers, to the dining room to the ice cream! The shows at night were the best we had ever seen!! Our excursions were not some of the best that we have EVER been to but that's okay they were still fantastic!! We have been to a lot of different places and that's okay!! Our excursion in Cozumel was cancelled due to rain and Carnival refunded all of our expenses!! Embarkation and Debarkation was fairly easy!! We went on the Community Tour in Jamaica and some of us did ziplining...both was great!! In the Caymon Islands..we went swimming with the sting rays..what a wonderful experience!! Lee the cruise director was the best!! Made for a fun week!! Would definitely go on this cruise again!! Read Less

This was my wife's favorite ship and we chose it to be the vessel that transported her remains for her burial at sea. Carnival handled the event for the family very respectfully and privately so we could say or goodbyes. Myself and 8 additional family members made the trip to say goodbye. We honored her by participating in the activities she liked - trivia, shows, relaxing and reading, MDR, steakhouse, Alchemy Bar, Guy's Burgers and of course soft serve ice cream. This was my 6th time traveling on the Dream and I would cruise on her anytime. The officers and crew made this voyage very memorable. I special shout out to Tijana Cavic Guest Services Manager and Anka & Cesar Mixologists at the Alchemy Bar for making the trip very memorable and for taking very good care of us during our time of grieving and remembrance. Many of our party are Platinum or Diamond so Embarkation and Disembarkation was no problem for us and went very smoothly. Read Less

There was too much to do to focus on just one for this review. The staff was wonderful. The food was beyond good. I came back relaxed and already planning our next cruise. Our excursion to Passion Island was cancelled due to rain and wind but Carnival had it refunded before we returned to the ship! Embarkation was fast and easy as we had our passports and driver licenses out and in our hands. The ship, the Dream was beautiful and large enough to accommodate all of the guests. The food was wonderful and the wait staff knew all eight names at our table. They joined in and joked with us so we felt like we genuinely bonded. Peter, Kadek and Tri made us feel welcome and made everything just perfect. I am allergic to shellfish so they presented me with the next day's menu each night so that they could pre-order my food to ensure that it did not get cross contaminated. Our cabin steward, Astika made sure that we had everything we needed each day. We were thrilled with a new towel animal each day! We found a quiet spot to enjoy sea days and we enjoyed it immensely. The entertainment was great. There were many activities to choose from so everyone in our group found something to do that interested them. Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the easy drive to New Orleans. We prepaid parking at Fulton parking garage. I’m not sure if we would do this again, but we might. We arrived earlier than our appointed check in time, but we still got on the ship fairly quickly. We loved the ship! Lee, the Cruise Director, was the best we’ve ever had and I’ve been cruising for 30+ years. Our cabin steward Suhardi was wonderful. He kept our cabin spotless and was very nice and friendly. Even though they now only clean the cabin once a day, that was fine with us. The food choices were wonderful. We loved all the food, but our favorites were Guy’s Burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina. On the lido deck there are numerous serving stations for the buffet and the made to order omelettes. The first omelette station usually has a long line, but if you continue on to the 2nd or 3rd station, you can usually walk right up and order. Lawrence, Luis, and Rata, our main dining room servers, were great. Always friendly and calling us by name. We enjoyed the comedy club and all of the music throughout the ship. We liked the nightly shows. I would cruise on this ship again in a heartbeat! No complaints at all. Read Less

I was told this was a great ship to cruise on and boy were they right. From the cruise Director Lee to the room steward they did an outstanding job keeping us informed, involved and ready to go bed! Don't have any major complaints that worth talking too much about. The refridgerators are substandard in that they aren't very high quality and don't keep milk. The entertainment was great with lots of 80's music and that was just what made the cruise perfect! I would stay on that ship again without hesitation. I think this ship is moving to Florida in the near future and would highly reccomend it for everyone. The waiters did an outstanding job each evening serving us and entertaing us to the point we wouldn't miss a meal because it was a highlight of our trip as well. The interary was three port stops in as many days and that was not the most desirable schedule because it would have been nice to had a day at sea between for a little rest but the logistics of it was probably why the way it was planned. We can not say more about the whole Triumph family, everyone is so friendly so helpful and work so incredibly hard. Our rooms are always kept amazing by our room steward. This trip we had Eva on the Veranda deck 820. She was the best!! We truly want her for every cruise. She made sure we had anything we needed, she always kept our room immaculate. This was my first cruise and it will definitely not be my last. Great experience. I was impressed with Embarkation, it was incredibly smooth and easy. Lee was the best Cruise Director - energetic and positive. We had 3 good excursions - to a Basic School in Jamaica. We met some wonderful children. We saw Turtles, Hell and Stingrays in Grand Cayman - wonderful experience. We had lunch and did some snorkeling in Cozumel - not the best snorkeling but still had a great time. All the on-board and tour staff were incredible. The food was wonderful and fun - they had interesting items that you could try - like escargot, Ox Tongue, rabbit and alligator. My favorite part was the comedy club and the singing/dancing nightly shows. I would recommend nocruiseshipparking.com for parking in New Orleans. It was cheaper and much easier than parking at the terminal. We parked easily and were shuttled to the terminal, so bypassed all the traffic and lines. Read Less

This was a celebration of our daughter's high school graduation and our second cruise on the Dream. We like to cruise out of NOLA or Galveston as they are both within 10 hours of our home and we can drive to port. We drove in a day early and stayed in a hotel in Harvey. We utilized Uber to eat at Oceana Grill and stroll Bourbon Street the night before our trip. Wonderful food and always some crazy entertainment there. We chose to park at the port even though it's expensive. It's inside and super convenient. Embarkation was easy. We had FTTF and were onboard eating lunch by noon. Our cabin and all but one piece of luggage was there after we finished eating. FTTF proved an asset for tendering and even more important during debarkation. The Dream is a beautiful ship and still our favorite. I love all the hot tubs! The crew was constantly cleaning and taking wonderful care of her. We tried your time dining for the first time and while it is convenient choosing your own time to get ready and go eat, we won't do it again. I felt like the wait staff had too many different things going on to give the service we're accustomed to. Our drinks went empty several times and once they didn't know if we'd just come in and needed bread or if it was time for dessert. We only went to one show in the main theatre because we just weren't that impressed with the cast. We spent our evenings enjoying the other singers and dancing around the ship. We went to three comedy shows...also not that impressed with these comedians. Our cabin steward was wonderful and Vera in the Dream Bar was amazing. The bar by the aft pool is a waste of time. Those bartenders were not happy to be there and you would wait forever for drinks even when it wasn't crowded. In Cozumel, it was a little rainy off and on but we chose to swim with dolphins at Chakanaab and had an amazing experience. The pictures are outrageously overpriced so we left without any which is kind of sad. The beach there is very small but very pretty! The food is ok at best. In Belize, we chose to cave tube and zip line. This was our main reason for choosing this cruise. I'd still choose this excursion because we really wanted to experience the jungle of Belize...however, the transmission went out on our bus and it took TWO HOURS to get to the excursion site. We were really rushed once we got there, The zips are short but there are five of them. The cave tubing is a bust. The water is freezing and crystal clear but there is zero current. The poor guide has to swim his arms off pulling people thru the cave. We had no time to eat and were the last tender back to the ship as our ship was preparing to LEAVE! Book any excursion here thru Carnival. You do not want to get left in Belize. Our last port was Mahogany Bay. We did the beach right by the port and it's beautiful. You can fly down on the magic chairs and they take you right to your clam shell chair. We floated a lot and had the option to snorkel and kayak but chose to just relax. The only negative here was seaweed. They were diligently trying to sweep it away but it was still there. FTTF got us straight off the ship at 7:00 AM. We were in our car headed down the road by 7:10. Fabulous. We all really loved this cruise and can't wait for the next one. Read Less

My husband and I went to relax and loved the spa deck with the access and the Serenity Deck is just too fabulous. I also love it b/c I can take my kids next time and have a completely different experience. Costa Maya’s beach excursion, snorkel adventure, power snorkel adventure, resort adventure, all happen on one beach, literally, it is about 1 mile long. So, just understand most likely you will all end up at the same beach with the same access to free drinks but it fun and the drinks are yummy! Next stop was Belize, which I checked off my bucket list and will not return. Took at two hour bus tour to the Mayan Pyramid and climbed the tallest one, which was super hard for me but I am proud I did it! Won’t ever again!!!! Mahogany Bay is beautiful and we scuba dived here, and if you do make sure you do it at this stop, the best one! We used Discover Beginning Scuba with Mike and it was totally amazing, bet part of our trip!!! Do it, I promise you will love it. My husband and I were both beginners as in we had never done it before and they were so patient and kind, and made it so easy! We are going to get certified together to do it more, that is how awesome it was. Last stop, Cancun we just walked around, shopped and relaxed. It was very nice, the water is so breathtaking and this is a great place to just sit, drink and reflect after an all the other adventure ports. Anyway, the staff and people at Carnival are so helpful, kink and truly want you to have the best time. Go, they are really the FUN ones!!! Read Less

This was my second cruise but the first cruise for my children who are 5 and 6. Our cruise sailed out of New Orleans. We drove down and parked our car in the garage. I was a little worried about that at first but the experience was so easy. Carnival had plenty of porters ready to help with our luggage from the car and then directed you where to park. Boarding the ship was relatively fast for the amount of people boarding. The line never stopped moving. We scheduled our boarding time from 1:30-2:00 and we were on the ship by 1:15. The only thing that I would add to this experience is that you are permitted to bring soda on the ship, but it must be in cans, not bottles. That also means no bottle water. When we got to our cabin at 1:30, our luggage was already in the hall waiting for us. Our room was an inside room. It was very clean. Shortly after arriving, we met our cabin steward, Merta. He was wonderful and always smiling. He came in and introduced himself and also put the bunks down for the kids. He brought extra towel because we had four people in our cabin. If traveling with children I do highly recommend getting children's motion sickness tablets. My children seemed to be doing well with the movement of the ship until my 6 year old woke up in the morning and threw up in her bed. Merta was quick to respond and take care of the issue. Anytime we saw him in the hallway he always smiled and asked how we were doing. The dining was great. Breakfast and lunch we usually ate the buffet or we would eat Guy's Burgers. The buffet always had several items to choose from. The hours were great and always seemed to be an option anytime of the day. We did not eat at the pizza place, but they were open 24 hours. For our evening dining, we did the our time dining. With two smaller kids, I felt this would be an easier option than having a set time. We were able to eat at our restaurant anytime between 5:30 and 9. The service in the restaurant was phenomenal. Each night we were greeted by Alina and after a few nights, my kids would run up to her and give her a hug. She was wonderful and always smiling. We had Jose three of the seven nights. Jose, Putu Edy, and Michael were wonderful. They interacted with the kids and made animals out of the napkins for them. One of the best parts is that they would always call us by name, making us feel special. Formal nights were amazing! The staff would have a song that they danced to each night. This made the experience that much better and enjoyable. We went to 4 of the shows during our cruise. Each and everyone of the shows were great! I love music and all the entertainers did a great job. My children enjoyed them as well. My children went to the Camp Ocean a few times during the cruise. They enjoyed their time there and asked to go back several times. It was their choice if they wanted to go, I did not force them to. My children also liked the pools as most kids do. I love that Carnival offers life jackets to the smaller kids. We also watched a movie on the Lido Deck. It had cooled off that night and Carnival had blankets that you could borrow while watching the movie. My kids thought that was wonderful that they were able to watch Coco in a lounge chair under a blanket. On one of the days at sea, my children were able to participate in the Sousa Palooza parade and story hour. The entertainment staff were so good with all the children and they loved how they were able to interact in the story. This cruise had everything for any type of vacation you want. The only thing that I did not rate as excellent was the shore excursions. We got off the ship in Jamaica and Cozumel and did the 10 Best in each stop. We wanted to shop and get souvenirs to remember our trip. The excursion description said there would be shopping but the tours were so rushed, you did not have much time to shop at all. I would have been better off to not pay the extra money for the excursion and just got off at the port and shopped there. Also be aware in Jamaica, everyone you meet expects a tip. They call you in for a picture then say, don't forget to tip for your picture. I found the people to be very pushy and rude. The service on the ship was extraordinary. One staff member by the name of Shujith was amazing. We met him while sitting outside and he interacted with my kids and made them towel animals. They thought that was so neat. We went to the towel folding class and he was there helping the kids fold their towels into animals. Each day he saw my kids, he would fold towels with them. Every crew member you came into contact with on the ship was always smiling and seemed so eager to make sure you were having fun. My children and I enjoyed our vacation so much and much of that is because of the staff on the Carnival Dream. Thank you for making this such a memorable experience. We are already planning our next cruise. Read Less

We choose this cruise for price as well as where is was going? We wanted to see more countries than just Mexico and Roatan & Belize were a part of this itinerary? We went to Daniels Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary as well as snorkeled in Roatan then Belize we did shopping at the port then back to the ship to rest up and play a little bingo. Cozumel we did a treasure hunt provided by the jewelry stores. This was a blast and we ended up getting a bracelet dull of charms as well as a necklace & earrings all for free and no purchase necessary. We will take, this cruise again one day. Our only complaint with CCL is their expensive drink packages. I don't drink alcohol but my husband does and CCL requires all parties to purchase the drink package if one person in the cabin purchases it. At over $50.00 a day that is almost what my ticket for the whole cruise cost. Absolutely ridiculous! Our steward Ms. Linda was awesome. We were never without ice in our fridge and our room was cleaned to our expectations. We chose to dine in the crimson room in the evenings at a round table which gave us a chance to meet some new & very interesting people. Our servers were exceptional though I do prefer not to be pushed to try something I never asked for which only happened on out first night thank goodness. The Guys burgers & fries cannot be beat for lunch and the condiment area was always fully stocked. As for the buffet dining, the food was medocre, nothing to brag about but definitely convenient for a last minute snack. I eould just say CCL should eliminate all the dirty mirrors in the buffet dining rooms. If there is no time to clean them then just get rid of them because they wer without a doubt a not appealing to look at while we were trying to eat a meal. as for activities on board, we played bingo one night and watched mivies every night in the big screen under the stars. Probably couldn't get much better than relaxing under the stars while eating popcorn and having an ice cold drink while watching a mivue in the big screen. were already planning our next cruise we kived it so much. I sailed with The Flying Scotsman (Chris Williams) last Nov and wanted to sail this cruise with him again. He does not disappoint when it comes to onboard entertainment, whether from him or his staff. He has so much energy that he brings to the cruise. The shows on board were excellent. Chris also did a a wonderful veterans appreciation on the last day of the cruise. Our cabin steward Pande kept our room clean and the ice bucket full. We didn't see him much, but saw the after math of his work. (very Good). We also did anytime dining and had Eka as our server for most of the cruise. The dining personnel would see us coming and welcoming us by name, as we walked down the hallway, and began seating us in Eka's section even if we came in separately. (a minute or 2 apart.). Overall it was a very good cruise. Read Less

We left from Port New Orleans! The embarkation was a smooth process. It took about 30 minutes from luggage to on board! We arrived about 11:30 and were on board by 12:05. We were greeted warmly by our Cabin Steward, Adi! He was phenomenal. He called us by our names and he was enthusiastic about our days ashore. Also, he made the most wonderful towel displays and left our cabin spotless! The food was ok most nights! We enjoyed the elegant nights the most. the dinner selection was wonderful those nights. Because our daughter likes to swim, many evenings we had to eat on the Lido because we wanted to be with her. I tried every restaurant and fell in love with Chrisann from St. Lucia at the coffee bar! She new just what I wanted (vanilla milkshake with shot of Espresso!--THICK)! The Entertainment was great! Chris the Flying Scotsman was our Cruise Director and he really made our experience wonderful along with his teammates, J-Swift and Stephen! I thoroughly enjoyed our journey together. We played bingo, participated in trivia, watched the LipSync Battles, visited the spa for the kids party option, danced at the deck parties, watched Dive-In movies, and more. I would do it again in a heart beat!!! We Definitely Lived the Dream!! We also enjoyed the Stingray City and Rum Beach excursion in Grand Cayman, We went to Paradise Beach in cozumel. It was probably the highlight of our trip. It was wonderful!!! Fresh Mojitos!!! The beach was ok. There was a water park area (inflatables) available; however, my daughter loves water but is a beginning swimmer and the water was too deep for her. BUT she LOVED The pool there! It was warm and refreshing! Wait until Cozumel to make your liquor purchases. Carnival matches the price BUT specialty items are SIGNIFICANTLY Cheaper!!!! We also did the hop on hop off in Montego Bay. Overall, the cruise was phenomenal. We enjoyed every moment! Read Less

My group leader planned it for a group of 17 and it was our first cruise after 32 years of marriage. I can honestly say we were very happy with cruise, the food and drink, the wonderful shows that Chris and his staff provided every night, our delightful room service and talented dinning staff. If you are awarded a chance to have Charlie Brown as your waiter, I promise you will love him. No complaints here, if anything, the teens and tweens on the ship should have been watched closer by parents, they were quite unruly at times. All around the ship provided us with the ultimate and lovely vacation. Look forward to another cruise! shore excursion, we paid Annis $20.00 per person and she took us to all the main points of the Grand Caymans. She will stop for you real quick if their is something you want to see. In Jamaica we did a 35.00 a person excursion that ship recommended and stayed safe. I must say that some women saw I had money in my hand to pay for a hamburger and they were trying to steal from me but I held tight. Coszumel, the Isla Passion, well worth it! Food, drinks, shopping and swimming! and nice boat ride!! Read Less

Wanted to try a cove balcony was worried about being on deck 11 was great wentvright out of our room and there every thing was! Lots of choices to eat. Mongolian, Guys burgers are good! But I do like the traditional grill with choices of chicken nuggets French fries, nachos. tried the new pizza wasn’t bad! Alternative dining seems to be going down on choices. Ice cream oh my had it a few times. Brunch was very good steak and eggs! Guys Pig & Anchor was amazing just wasn’t open enough it was open two of the sea days! Even though we missed our port in Roataun it will not stop me from cruising! Ship was clean! I miss a lot of the old perks. Bigger isn’t always better! But you have to roll with the times! Read Less
