Good Value for Money Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Dream

Once again, Carnival delivered its standard “value for money” cruise. The Dream is a nicely maintained vessel. It is not my favorite Carnival ship however. Although a sister ship to the Breeze, it does not have a Guy's Burger Joint nor a Red Frog Pub. It seemed difficult to find a quiet place to have a beer and read a book. The Ocean plaza was always packed with people doing trivia quizzes, crafts ...

Dream is a Nice Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our 3rd CCL cruise and the biggest ship we have been on to date. It is very nice with lots of stuff to do for everyone. Service in all facets is great. Kids loved the slides, basketball court and food. They loved getting pizza and ice cream whenever they wanted. MDR food is decent. I am a fairly picky eater but could find something each night. Some MDR entres were good and some ...

My husband and I (both over 50) are experienced cruisers and decided to do our first back-to-back on the ELATION Dec. 12-21. A seven-day cruise just wasn't enough time. We drove down the night before and stayed at a Country Inn and Suites in Metarie, LA because they offer a park and stay, and we've stayed with them before. Hotel was fine and within walking distance to all kinds of places to eat, ...

This was our 2nd time on the Dream. She has definitely aged in the two years since we last sailed on her, but still a good ship. Had a good time, but overall wasn't our best cruise. PRE-CRUISE: Stayed at the Comfort Suites at the NOLA Airport. Highly recommend – we plan to use them again. Great room: clean, large and comfortable. Bed was great! Great breakfast and staff. 20 minutes from ...

Great cruise out of New Orleans!

I cruised out of New Orleans with three friends. We booked two ocean view rooms on the Riveria deck midship. This was my 17th cruise (9 of them on Carnival). One of my friends was on her second cruise and the other two were on their first cruise. We all had a great time! We went to two ports - Cozumel and Progreso. I had been to Cozumel at least 5 times before. I decided to try something different ...

My wife and I are mid fifties, never been on a cruise before, thought we'd give it a try. Embarkation was from New Orleans, about a five hour drive for us. We drove down the night before embarking and stayed in the Hampton Inn Convention Center planning to drive over to the port parking the next morning. At check-in (late -- around 11:30p) I mentioned we were going on a cruise and they said they ...

I had a great time on the elation. I thought that for the money which is very reasonable this is a great deal. The good was really good especially lunch and dinner buffets/dining room. Crew was friendly and attentive. I dont know why all these other people arent giving better reviews. Maybe they were expecting to be waited on hand and foot. Its a cruise ship, many other fellow cruisers.... expect ...

Carnival Dream Cruise; Better than Expected

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Dream

My wife and I have been on about a dozen cruises and this was our second on Carnival. The itinerary was why we chose this cruise, desiring to return to Montego Bay, the destination of our first foreign trip 30 years ago. We loved our cove balcony, the best cabin we have experienced. We prefer a smaller ship but the Dream did allow for quiet at the adult Serenity areas on the open decks. Because we ...
