Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Okay Cruise to Cozumel

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Elation

My wife and I are in our mid-fifties and work demanding jobs with little time off. This was our eighth cruise and our fifth on Carnival. We chose this cruise because it fit our vacation dates and New Orleans was a relatively convenient port to which we could drive. We spent the previous night at the Best Western on St. Charles. The rate was extremely competitive and the hotel has free, on ...

we have cruised on NCL, Celebrity & Royal Caribbean so I was hesitant of carnival and lowered my expectations. it exceeded by expectations. we were able to drive to new Orleans and that was wonderful to not have to fly. our hotel did not offer good parking rates during cruise to we parked with carnival - $18/day. we were in a junior suite V2 which was good in numerous ways - priority ...

My husband and I booked a 5 night cruise on the Carnival Elation from New Orleans to Cozumel and Progreso. Our oceanview cabin on deck 7 was spacious enough but dated with some obvious wear and tear. The cover on the corner light under the television was falling off and one of the medicine cabinet doors in the bathroom would not stay closed. The safety demonstration seemed a bit disorganized ...

Dream vs Valor, no contest

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Dream

After cruising on the Valor for two years we had something to compare with the Dream. We found the Dream's entertainment, employee attitude, food, food service and ship management inferior to the Valor. We were disappointed with the overall experience. To be more specific, the dining room (open seating) tables were setup so as to prevent socializing, bar service was non-existence and ...

3rd time cruise with carnival -average food, one less stop but great staff

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Dream

This our 3rd cruise with carnival -food was very average, one less stop as the we could not dock at St Maarten. In my opinion you need to have a backup plan for things like that. Staff were all awesome, each and every one of the staff was so great, many staff with longevity and that is important. I see cutbacks happening like with fruit you see no strawberrys, no grapes, no ice in staterooms, ...

5th and Last Carnival Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was my 5th Carnival cruise and my wifes first. I promised her nothing short of an unbelievable experience. I cannot apologize enough to my wife for the disappointment that began almost immediately. We boarded the Dream, found our cabin then went up to 'the gathering' for lunch. I was shocked! First at the lack of choices. Second at the lack of quality. Third at the terrible ...

First and last time on Carnival

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

As long time cruisers, we have gravitated to another of the lines as our "go to" provider. When a group cruise on the Dream presented itself, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, Carnival reinforced the low expectations we had when we booked. We booked an upgraded Spa Suite on the 11th deck. It's a neat concept with quick access to the spa one staircase up. Spacious and well laid out ...

First off you need a GPS for New Orleans. We stayed at Comfort Suites in Harvey great clean place to stay will be back there, when we visit New Orleans again. Booked our first Cove balcony it was great .Cabin 2353 I could have called this a Dream ship if the mattress was in better condition..We woke up every morning with severe back pain..Didn't meet our Steward till the 2nd day of sailing,he did ...

Carnival Elation Very Disapointing

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Elation

We are very seasoned cruisers and have done 15 on Carnival and this was actually our second time on the Elation. In the past our room steward was always there to greet us and to see if we needed any thing. Several of our group never even saw their room steward until the third day. We have enjoyed doing the "Our Time Dining" in the past, but on this ship we waited over an 1 1/2 hours one ...

My First Carnival Cruise, Carnival's First Journeys Cruise

I always read the reviews on Cruise Critic and appreciate the authors who take their time to write them, so I promised myself that I would do the same when I returned from our recent 21 day back to back cruise out of New Orleans on the Carnival Dream. This is going to be a long one, so if you don’t feel like reading it all, let me start with a summation: Carnival is my least favorite of cruise ...
