Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Dream

Club O2 was not "open" most of the cruise, so the teenagers had to sit in the stairwell or common areas to play card games and visit.....Mongolian Grill was supposed to be open to be open until 3:30 but one side closed much earlier....This is our second time on the Dream in two years and the atmosphere was one of the majority of the crew/staff not wanting to be there. The desserts that come on ...

I took this cruise with my wife and 12 year old daughter, this was my !4th cruise (carnival, princess, Norwegian). We drove in from Texas the day prior and stayed at the doubletree, New Orleans. We parked at the official port parking for $140 paid up front, I would recommend this (especially if you have a early flight) if you don't want to mess with shuttles or long walks with your luggage. I was ...

Fun but be careful if your kid has a severe food allergy!

I wish I could have given the cruise a 3.5 stars. We had a really good time and the ship was pristine. The staff overall was very good although we did have a couple of issues. First, in our family we have a 14 year old that has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy. We filled out the form prior to the cruise that stated the dietary requirements for our kid with the allergy and the main ...

Embarkation was disorganized and took a long time. You signed up for a boarding time, but the line was so long, and no one knew where to go if it was your boarding time. I was told to go to one line, so half of our group went through, but the rest where turned back and had to go to the back of the long line, so much for boarding times. No programs were provided for the kids programs on ...

A Few Highlights, a Few Lowlights, Especially Nightly Entertainment; Really Bad

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Had been on Pride last year, this trip on Dream the staff didn't seem as helpful or friendly. The nightly entertainment was sub par, the production and costumes were so bad it was insulting. The service in the main dining room was slow and inattentive. The menu choices were not as appealing as last year. Our room was good except for a loud water rushing sound the whole trip in our bathroom. ...

Lackluster Ship; Spectacular Excursions

This was a group cruise planned for 2 yrs with close to 30 people traveling together. I have been on multiple cruise lines and am a repeat cruiser to Carnival. This was my first time leaving out of New Orleans. The luggage drop off at the parking garage was so smooth. The waiting area for your wait for your specified embarkation time was somewhat crowded but tolerable, the boarding and ...

Fun First Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

This was our first cruise. We chose this ship because we live in New Orleans. We chose this particular cruise because it included a stop in Jamaica. We had a check in time of 10-10:30. We got downtown around 9:45, but by the time we parked (Fulton Garage), took the shuttle, and eventually found a porter for our bags, we did not get inside to begin check in until almost 11. We were assigned zone ...

I felt the need to leave a review about this cruise because there are quite a few things that seems to have changed with Carnival cruise lines and I figured someone needed to say something. My hubby and I decided to take this particular cruise because we had a group of friends who were also going, and we like to cruise for family vacations simply because it's easier than most family vacations. ...

A Dream of Average!

This was our 2nd time on the Dream, with the first being last year. They changed the menu this year and for us it wasn't for the better. you have the standard pizza & ice cream that you can't go wrong and the Salad buffet gave plenty of choices but the dining room was just average this time around. The Cruise Director Brandon was pretty good, the comedy was above average, but the shows ...

Carnival [not quite a] Dream

Just returned from a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Dream, sailed out of New Orleans. Our party included myself and my husband (both 28), our 2-year-old daughter, and my parents (my mom just retired and this was our celebration for her). We arrived in New Orleans a day prior to the cruise and stayed at the Homewood Suites (on Poydras St), which was a fine place to stay for ...
