Carnival New Orleans Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

I decided to take the family on our first big trip together on the Carnival Dream. I have four kids (14, 14, 12, 11) and also my wife and in-laws. I reserved two adjoining balcony rooms. Upon arrival to the port, you are immediately greeted with lines. Unfortunately, the lines never ended. Lines to get on and off the ship, lines for buffet....literally lines for everything. When we arrived in ...

First, we drove to New Orleans and very much enjoyed our visit. We stayed at Embasey Suites which was an excellent hotel. We chose this cruise as the port of embarkation was half-way between both families. It also had Grand Cayman. We were given times to embark, but we had a mishap and were late SO we did have about a 30 minute wait to get on board. My husband and I had an inside room ...

Carnival's declining quality

We chose this particular cruise because it was a "Free" cruise, compliments of the Carnival Player's Club "Casino". For the most part, this cruise was about what we expected it to be. Even though we had things to complain about, we still had a pretty good time. The good parts were what we've grown accustomed to since this was cruise number 27 "on Carnival". We've been on 4 other cruises (2 ...

We took this cruise as a replacement vacation when other plans weren't working out. We basically took to the internet, found out what could be available the week we were free, and booked this cruise through Costco. It helped that the port city was New Orleans, where my lovely daughter lives. We stayed at the Queen Anne Hotel the night before embarkation - it was well-located, convenient, ...

We were in cabin 2242 which was an extended ocean view room with "2 bathrooms" 1 is the standard cruise ship bathroom with small shower. The second has a 3/4 size tub with shower and sink. Standing room in there is enough to turn around only but the tub room shower is more spacious than the standard one. Our family only used the tub room to shower due to the increased room in the shower area. ...

We're Gold members of Carnival's VIFP club, so we've sailed quite a few times before and had realistic expectations as to what to expect. Overall, I am glad I took this cruise and the ports were amazing - as well as most of the staff. That being said, not sure I will be booking my next cruise with Carnival, and certainly not this ship again. This was the first cruise I've been on where the ...

Our first time visiting New Orleans, we went down a day ahead of time which I strongly recommend. We also stayed the day after the cruise because it is a beautiful town. We stayed at the Hampton Inn across from the Convention Center. Free hot breakfast, Free shuttle, Beautiful Hotel. Coming back we stayed at the AC Marriott Hotel, Not so good. No shuttle, No Free Breakfast, Hotel was very ...

Larger ship but a downgrade from past Carnival experiences.

We chose this cruise for our grandson's 6th birthday; we got a really good price and have sailed Carnival 4 times before. We were interested to explore the larger Carnival Dream. It really is a large ship but the layout makes it seem cramped in most areas. The pools are EXTREMELY small - 2 of them that only accommodate 17 people each! They looked like "people soup" most of the time. The ...

We chose the cruise mainly because it went out of New Orleans which was close to our location. It was our first cruise so we weren't sure what to expect. The embarkation process went smooth. Our room was ready when we arrived on the cruise ship which was very nice. Unfortunately, I wish it wouldn't have been ready and they would have cleaned it better. We paid good money to stay on the Lido ...

Family group cruise with GrandParents (us), children and grandchildren. Embarkation was a major issue for us as some family did not bring required documentation to board and missed the cruise. Carnival did all they could to assist in securing missing documents and are to commended for their efforts. Overall experience was average as compared to other Carnival cruises. Main disappointments were in ...
