Oceanview stateroom with private balcony and twin beds that convert to king. All staterooms have carpeting, ample drawer and closet space, private facilities (shower, basin and toilet), telephone and color television showing first-run films.
As ship cabins go, the layout made the cabin seem very spacious and it was well lit and airy. The bathroom was convenient and the shower allowed a normal comfortable shower to be taken. The downside is that the bed was uneven and hard, making sleep difficult to have and we had some discomfort from the bed. Read entire member review >>
This room is HORRIBLE!! It is located on the 8th floor just under the lido deck and kitchen. The beating, banging and scraping starts about 2am and doesn't quit until late in the evening. We had to get a fan from guest services just to be able to sleep......the room itself was very nice...but it's all about location. Steer clear of this room and anything around it. Its a shame because this cabin is considered an upgrade because it's so high up...I will say that it is somewhat convenient. I would rather walk a little further than take a chance on this room. Our TA selected 8209 for us & we really thank her for that. The view was great, nothing blocked our view. The lifeboats were to the left and right of us. Closet room was spacious for the two of us. Of course the bathroom was tiny, but efficient. I was a little curious of the amenities left for us. Mostly ice tea packets! Sample tubes of toothpaste or lotion would be more appropriate. The breathe rite and motion sickness samples might have been appropriate, but we didn't need them. Read entire member review >>
Smoking is a major issue with balcony cabins! Guest can smoke outside huge disappointment! Bed is very very uncomfortable. Room otherwise was fine and roomy for a cruise ship. Read entire member review >>
6236-good location close to elevators but no noticeable noise from hallway. When windy the balcony was very windy with not much shelter as it is on the 'bump out'.
Was nice not worrying about smokers on the upwind side though. Read entire member review >>
Good balcony, you can hear the other balcony door closing, which is loud, but really can't be helped unless people hold doors unless they close gently. Two large hanging closets and o e with four shevles. There is additional three drawers and to another double cupboard. Read entire member review >>
Absolutely loved the location of our cabin, #8192. Located between stairs and elevators. Just opened the door and we went up one flight to get to Lido deck, Steak House or to elevators. No noise whatsoever as we originally thought might happen. Midship location, no noise from up above at any time. Only wish our elevators went to 1A deck for ports. Can't have it all. Great view, good location mid-ship, close to pools and buffet but far enough away not to have to deal with noise, comfortable bed and pillows, decent space to move around, laundry room and elevators nearby. Ideal. Read entire member review >>
8188 - VERY NOISY - it's located just below the Lido Deck automatic door and the alcove where they bring food and dishes out to the deck. You can hear noises all night long. Our friends were right next door in 8190 and they had no problems with noise at all. Read entire member review >>
