Back from the Carnival Breeze 4th of July cruise. 6/30-7/6
We just returned from a great cruise on the Carnival Breeze. We sailed with a group of 12 ranging in ages from 1yr -77yrs. Several were first time cruisers. This was my 21st cruise. (You could say I’ve reached the legal age of cruising now. :D I've sailed on NCL, Carnival, RCCL, Princess, HAL, Celebrity, MSC, Norwegian and ...
My husband and I just arrived home yesterday from our cruise to Grand Turk, Curacao, Dominican Republic and Aruba. Overall, we had a wonderful time and it was a good, much-needed vacation. However, there were some aspects of the cruise that were very disappointing. I will start off with the pros first:
1. The ship is beautiful and immaculate. Probably one of the prettiest and stylish ships I have ...
We stayed the night before at the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon South airport which was near drug stores grocery store and some fast food restaurants. Free airport shuttle. The shuttle to the cruise docks was $10 per person and left at 11:00 and I think 12:30. We walked our carry on luggage on to the ship. The check in took about 20 minutes and we were in our cabin, very very easy! I went with my 18 and ...
This was our fifth cruise on Carnival and our 10th overall. We were on an 8 day Eastern Caribbean itinerary during the week of July 20, 2013. Our ports were St Thomas, Antigua, Tortola, and Nassau. We left from Miami on Saturday afternoon.
Passengers: 4700 on our sailing. There were many young families and young couples as usual on Carnival. This is a young people-family cruise. There were older ...
Spent two days in South Beach Miami prior to cruising. Taxi cab from south beach to cruise was about 15.00 for the 4 of us. Got there early 11:30 to embark and beat the crowd. They always tell you to arrive later but then you miss the lunch and you avoid the crowds and enjoy the ship.
Ship is well maintained and very clean. Beautiful details, nice atrium. Cabins are nice, stewards were friendly ...
After reading several reviews, I was extremely nervous about the time I would spend on the Carnival Breeze. No need to worry! My family and the rest of our group agree that this was one of the best vacations we have had. 6 families with children ranging from 7-20 were in our group. My family had 2 interior rooms on deck 7. My husband and I were in room 7308 with my 20 yr old daughter and 14 yr old ...
Our first cruise was on the Magic and we liked it so much we decided to book on her sister ship the Breeze. They may be sisters, but they are nowhere near the same. The ship is new and has some bells and whistles that the Magic doesn’t have, but those couldn’t make up for the number of negatives. The design of the dining areas, from Lido to the dining room was poor. Service was below standard. And ...
Pros- dining- there were many options and there was never a moment while on the ship where you were hungry, the options and variety were pleasing to all, the dining room staff made our experience that much greater and the food was out if this world
staff-all were friendly, remembered your name within minutes, went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, cruise director and assistant ...
We sailed the Breeze on June 8th - 8 day cruise to Grand Turk, DR, Curacao, and Aruba. Both of us in our mid 40s with our son (14yrs). Great vacation. Arrived at port about 11:00am- quick process -minimal lines - checked in quickly - boarded with zone 15 - was on ship by 11:35 - glad I didn't pay for Fast to Fun - didn't need it. Breeze is beautiful- like the toned down decor, as others have ...
When I originally booked the trip according to Carnivals own website several different rooms were available including the inside cabin that I desired for three people. I asked the operator for that room and was told that it was not available instead he had an outside room for $30 more per person. He told me that rooms had to be sold according to coast guard regulations and that because of weight ...
