My wife and I won a "free cruise" when we bought into a time share a couple of years ago. TAV was the name of the service that administered the "free cruise," which of course was limited in dates and ships. Carnival Ecstasy was one of the ships and this (leaving Jan. 18) was one of the dates. By the time we paid the fees to TAV associated with the cruise, we came up about $20 each short of what ...
About the Reviewer: I’m a 34 year old male who traveled solo on the 1/18/16 sailing of the Carnival Ecstasy to Key West, FL and Cozumel, MX. This was my 34th cruise and 3rd time sailing with Carnival. I previously sailed Carnival in 2005 on the Destiny (now re-named something else) on a normal cruise and on the Carnival Inspiration for Groove Cruise in 2015. This cruise fit my travel schedule and ...
This was my second cruise on Carnival, the first was a 15 day cruise from LA to Hawaii and back and that was great. I want to compare this cruise to a fall 2015 cruise on Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas to New England and Canada with my wife.
Embarkment- SLOW, you first went through a line where they took your health certification form then up and escalator to the check in area, they had ...
This was our 2nd cruise on Splendor, so knew about the pink! The ship is going in dry-dock soon and in some places, it showed. Not that the ship wasn't clean, it was. But there were worn and stained carpets as well as chairs and sofas. Some chairs you wondered about sitting in.
The crew was wonderful except for our waitress and waiter in the Steakhouse. We felt looked down on and pretty ...
We had been on the Breeze before and loved her so we decided to sail her once again but we went with a different itinerary. The Southern Caribbean itinerary was absolutely beautiful!
The Breeze is great! We love the size of the ship and all of the activities offered. The food is always great and we love the options at any time of day. From Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana, to late night Pizza or ...
Ship- was nice and clean. Had no issues.
Food- breakfast was good. Lunch was excellent with a large variety of things to eat.
Especially liked Guy's burger joint and the taco bar. Dinner was ok. Buffet was average. Pizza was actually pretty good.
Ports- 3 out of 4 were great!
Grand Turk- awesome. Was great to get off the ship and walk a short ways to a great beach and pool area ...
Overall we had a wonderful time on the Breeze. We've only sailed on older Carnival ships before, so the Breeze with it's toned down décor & multiple dining options was definitely an improvement from other sailings. Our cabin steward(ess) Diana took excellent care of us from the moment we boarded. Dining room staff was equally as wonderful, Fritz was an awesome server & the food was overall very ...
We flew in to Ft.Lauderdale the morning of the cruise, rented a van around noon, and drove to Miami. Stopped for lunch in Hollywood. Boarded ship by about 2:30 / 2:45. There were NO lines at the terminal, nobody dropping off luggage with the porters - it's the emptiest I've ever experienced!
The ship is decorated with LOTS of pink circles! You get used to it. We were laughing and saying it ...
First let me say, I will and plan to cruise Carnival again soon.
I can only speak about what me and my wife experienced on this cruise, I read many reviews and don't agree with all of them. 7th cruise, last 2 with carnival, were in our early 50s
First, Embarkment, it took about a hour and a half to get on the ship, I did expect it, so it didn't bother me, patients on a cruise is key.
Next ...
My son (7 yo), mother (early 60’s) and I (36) cruised on the Carnival Breeze January 10-16, Western Caribbean itinerary. I’ll go into a lot of detail about what I thought was good/not so great about this cruise but overall, we had a wonderful time! The Breeze is a very nice ship with lots of activities to keep all of us busy. Our balcony cabin was nice, basic but clean and comfortable. The ship ...
