Carnival Mexican Riviera Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

A nice Fall break on the Panorama

We had a nice Fall break on the Panorama if you are looking to get a taste of cruising with kids (12-14yrs) The pricing was really reasonable. The kids group was really lacking attention for pre teens. They had to make their own fun with the other pre teens. I would only rate comedy shows and productions as fair. Cruise Director Jerry was great. Had some Halloween activities which were nice. ...

Dear Carnival: keep the Miracle weird!

If you're considering this ship, the first thing you're looking at will most likely be its' oddball decor, and if I'm using Carnival-speak, it inspires "Fascination." The photos don't lie - you'll find giant bunches of grapes hanging from the ceiling in the main dining room, an entire clone army of "Horatios" (which appear to be Lord Horatio Nelson, of Battle of Trafalgar fame) on the walls in the ...

Panorama is a beautiful ship with so much to do. The shows on this cruise were far better than others I had seen on Carnival. I always say that NCL and Royal are the big leagues and Carnival is the minor leagues but on this cruise the entertainment was top notch. My favorite were the shows in the main theatre who nightly put on top notch performances - In addition the cruise director Chris ...

A Wonderful, Fun Cruise for Families

We chose this cruise simply because we have done all the caribbean cruises and wanted something different. So we flew to LA and spent 2 nights before boarding the ship in Long Beach. Embarkation was a breeze. We were on the ship pretty quickly. They didn't really check the reservation times. Disembarkation was a different story. We waited for 2 hours to get off the ship and finally left at ...

We were on our way to SF to pick up Alaska cruise and decided to do a quick cruise that included Catalina. Embarkation in Long Beach was a breeze perhaps because we are platinum, but debarkation was very slow and a bit disorganized. Room was smaller, near back with longer balcony; it had an odd set up, no sofa, just a tiny chair, but did have a balcony. Lots of loud preteens and teens ...

It's a great cruise for first time cruisers

Context: We were a group of 5 friends, no kids, in our early 20s and 30s - review will not be relevant for someone with kids or someone who is older or isn't into trying various cruise activities. So there are several reasons why this is a good cruise for somebody who is new to cruising, and it can be an OK cruise for somebody who has cruised before. First, the four day cruising experience ...

I chose this cruise because it was the one my grandson and his wife wanted. It was an affordable cruise as I paid for myself and my son. It's been several years since my last cruise, and I was surprised I had to pay extra for a drink package. At first I felt I was being "nickeled and dimed" to death on this cruise, but in reading other reviews this seems to be the new normal. We had to pay ...

Carnival is a good value if you do your homework

As I am a travel blogger and long-time traveler (55 countries), I have sailed on various cruise lines. I think it is important to set your expectations accordingly. Disney: family. Windstar: adventure. Seabourn: upscale. RC: a little of everything. And now Carnival, aka the fun ship: good value. This was my first solo cruise. I was trying to do an inexpensive getaway from my base in Orange ...

This was overall a great experience. We are experienced Carnival travelers and do appreciate the continuity through the ships which makes navigating a little easier. 1. We live approximately 6-7 hours (depending on traffic) from the port and opted to drive the day before and drive in that morning. We stayed at the Cambria in Anaheim. Great hotel with lots of options for families since they ...
