Carnival Mexican Riviera Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Elation

This was only our second cruise, but I've done more research than Clark Howard so I still would like to say that I'm somewhat of an expert at least on getting a good deal if nothing else. I work in the airline industry so we get some killer deals on some of the weekday and off peak cruises. My wife and I have cruised alone twice now. We plan to take our kids on the next one, so this review is ...

First Time Cruise out of Long Beach - 3 day to Ensendada

This was our 4th family cruise with our now 7 yr old son. Stayed at the Queen Mary the night before due to its close proxmity to the port, but if you're renting a car, forget about this hotel and choose another one. Room was dark, not very clean and we couldn't wait to get out of there. Place has a reputation for being haunted. None of the 3 of us slept well and walked long, narrow hallways ...

Wild Honeymoon on the Splendor

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Splendor

I am not much of a writer but have enjoyed so much the various reviews of the Splendor prior to our sailing that I wanted to reciprocate. My wife and I sailed on the Splendor August 8th to celebrate our wedding and enjoy a romantic honeymoon down the Mexican Riviera. We communicated via our CC roll call with many and even met up with a few of our fellow cruisers in Vegas prior to the trip. Three ...

Carnival Won't Tender in Cabo San Lucas

We recently cruised on the Carnival Splendor on a 7-night cruise to the Mexican Rivera. The Splendor is a beautiful ship and everything was always kept very clean. I can't be sure but it seemed as if the staterooms were a little larger than comparable ones on other ships. It is a fairly new ship and the dEcor is very lush throughout. As always with Carnival the staff was exceptional. One of the ...

Never Again. Terrible wedding ceremony treatment!!!

We just got married on the ship. We took 11 cruising and had 25 total guests for the wedding prior to leaving port. The cruise line told us to make sure everyone was there by 1030 am. This was done and our family had to stand out in the heat for over 2 hours with no updates unless we solicited the wedding representative for the line. We had purchased a buffet lunch for each person attending the ...

A Splendid time on the Splendor!

There were 3 of us...DH, myself and 18DD...celebrating daughter's 18th birthday, high school graduation and the beginning of college. We 'splurged' and booked a grand suite...room 7312. The extra space was very nice and since we relaxed quite a bit in the room, much enjoyed! I will have more 'details' on the boards...however, will try to highlight a few of the memorable things here. We had VIP ...

My husband and I just took our 2 kids, ages 12 and 16, on their first cruise. The 2 of us had previously sailed on Carnival. We first sailed on the Elation to the Mexican Riviera in 2001 and then 3 years ago took the Victory out of Miami to the Caribbean. All 3 cruises were a lot of fun but this last one didn't quite live up to the service we had previously had with Carnival. Let me start with ...

Family Cruise to Catalina/Ensenada

We are a family of 5, cruising with 9 yr old daughter and grandparents. This was our 13th cruise, the first to Catalina (although we've been on 2 of the shorter 3 nighters to Ensenada). We drove in from Phoenix and stayed 2 nights in LA to go site seeing. We stayed at the Radisson in Culver City, booked thru Priceline at $55/night which was well worth it. Parking is $14/day with in/out ...

We arrived at the Carnival port by 11 a.m. (much earlier than we expected). Now I understand why Carnival calls to say don't arrive until 2 p.m. It sure was busy with departing guests when we arrived at 11 a.m. So we just found a porter to drop off our check in luggage then drove back to downtown Long Beach to visit Walmart for a few last minute provisions and to drop off the rental car. We didn't ...

EMBARKATION My husband and I flew down on JetBlue (love that airline)the day before. We stayed at The Hilton in Long Beach. Great price $94, included a free shuttle for sightseeing and the trip to the ship the next day. We got to the pier before 11:00 and was directed to the Queen Mary next door to do early registration. That was quick and painless. On the walk back to the ship I bought a ...
