Carnival Mexican Riviera Cruise Reviews

Great meeting this guy, humble and transparent. He just knows what he's doing. As I said,if He is not your cruise activity director, just ask for a refund lol. He's that good.

Carnival Paradise 3 night Baja 2/18/2011

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Paradise

I just returned yesterday from a three night cruise to the Baja on Carnival Paradise. First, to put this in perspective, I am certainly not a Carnival fan. I choose my cruises based on itinerary, timing and other factors. Therefore, I have cruised on 7 different cruise lines over the years. I am cruising four times in 2011 on four different cruise lines. This was my fourth ...

My husband and I recently returned from cruising on the Carnival Paradise. I believe this is one of Carnival's older ships, but we were pleasantly surprised to find the ship spotlessly clean and well-maintained; loved the decor, and found the color choices a lot more appealing than other Carnival ships we have seen. Crew members were uniformly friendly and efficient. Our cabin steward and ...

I pretty much agree with everything Bruin Steve had to say about the Carnival Paradise, although we didn't see any of the production shows. I live in near Long Beach and since Carnival has a monopoly on 3-Day Cruises around here, I would have to spend a lot of money to try other, more luxurious cruise lines. At any rate, the other cruise line I was ever on was the Royal Caribbean that used to be ...

An honest review of the Splendor, and Carnival itself

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Splendor

Let me first preface this by saying this was the second sailing of the Carnival Splendor since the now infamous fire debilitated the ship. Before I go on to my experience during embarkation, and while on the ship, I wanted to make a mention of the service I received (or lack thereof) prior to my sailing, as I promised I would to Carnival in an email I exchanged with them. There are things ...

Our Weekend in Paradise

We arrived at the port in Long Beach around 12:45pm and it was the perfect time, as there were no lines to get in and we were directed to an open window to check in right away. The employees in the check in area were friendly and helpful and our check in took about 5 minutes at the most. We had photos taken before we got on board and walked onto the Paradise with no line ahead of us. We went to ...

Great Multi-Generational Cruise on Splendor

This was Splendor's first sailing since the fire. We had booked way back in August 2010 and were worried that our cruise might be cancelled since we were the first one scheduled to go after so many cancellations. Embarkation was smooth and took about 45 minutes. We went straight to the Lido deck for lunch. It was crowded, but the food was good. The kids were immediately thrilled with the ...

First, let me say that this is my 2nd cruise on the Splendor, we did the Mexican Riviera in April 2009 as part of a large group (20+), and I so enjoyed that cruise that I thought it would be a good one to take a first time cruiser on. We originally booked on Feb 6th, but because of the fire, had to rebook, was able to get the same cabin at the same price even though that week it would have cost ...

We have taken this little Baja cruise four times now as quick little get-aways from work. The ship is aged, but very clean and easy to navigate. Boarding was quick and easy. Our cabin was ready at 2pm as promised, our room steward Clinton was great. The food and service in the dining room was excellent every night. Food in the Lido was great, as were the salad bar and ...

Carnival Paradise - not so much

Last minute decision to go on a quick 4 day cruise for our 17th anniversary. We booked only a week before and felt at the time we got a great deal. We had never been on a Carnival Cruise before and were used to a higher quality cruise experience. Stateroom - We upgraded to a suite with a balcony which was our first mistake. The room was nice but we were used to a big sliding glass door to ...

First of all, this was our 1st cruise ever. Went with great attitudes, left just ok with the whole experience. I myself am a 29 yr old female, traveled with 31 yr old husband, and 7 & 10 yr old girls. We have heard alot of past crusiers talk, and in comparison, we both agree that we were either on the wrong ship, or maybe we're not "cruisers". The lines to get onto ship were LONG, ...
