This was the trip of lifetime. the ship was incredible. The service and food were divine. The entertainment was excellent. The ports were wonderful except Crete, which was not as interesting as the others. 13 of us traveled together and used the pleasant spa frequently. Our only complaint was we had to walk through the smoking casino each time we went to our large reserved dining area on the ...
Never been to the mediterraen, we had great service from german a waiter at the blue iguana bar and a young lady named gelica in the liquid lounge. Both people were very friendly with advice on the ports of call and very fast with the cocktails.all of the tips about our tours were very accurate. They said which tours required a lot of walking duration of the tours bus ride times free time for ...
Carnival Hits the Sweet spot!
We had a party of 8. Our Cruise was an 8night West Med Cruise round trip from Barcelona.
Cabins. One Balcony room, and two inside cabins. The Balcony room was nice and clean, good size TV, and bathroom. One con was the coach in the room was very uncomfortable. Balcony door was heavy and would prefer to have a sliding door. The two inside rooms were conjoin rooms ...
We wanted to experience a new, large ship. We thought we would be blown away but we were underwhelmed by the decor and fittings of the ship,
Staterooms:
Very comfortable with lots of cupboard space. Excellent room staff who kept everything spotlessly clean.
Food:
Allocated anytime dining, but had to check in on the 5th floor and then be directed to the 3rd floor to eat, seemed a waste ...
I was lucky enough to sail on the brand new carnival vista. It is great!!
We got to embark at approximately 1 pm and were onboard writhing 45 minutes or less. The line moved very fast and everything went smooth. Our luggage was delivered at a cabin pretty darn quick too. We met our room steward who did a fantasic job the entire cruise as they always do. THe cruise lines really hire some ...
This was the third trip out for the vista and our first on Carnival. The ship had a lovely new car smell still and we enjoyed our time onboard.
The lay out of the ship was fine but didn't seem to have a heart, the Atrium had a nice bar but was basically a place to pass through, guest services was tucked away on level 3 with the shore excursions. The floors were really uneven with random dips ...
Decided literally a few days before that we had time to get a cruise in before the summer school holidays and this one popped up as the most convenient and reasonable price. We also wanted to experience being on a new ship, and being so "heavy" to check out how stable it is on the open seas (I suffer from motion sickness).
Cons: no black out curtains in the oceanview staterooms and with the sun ...
This was our 17th Cruise but the first time with Carnival & it was aboard their biggest ship only launched in May. The boarding was quite slick bearing in mind it takes over 4,000 passengers. The Cabins were OK, we had an inside Cabin that served it's purpose, Being a new ship we had to allow for a few teething problems & there were a few, which did included, not having our Cabin made up one ...
Here we go. I will begin with... we are not cruisers. This was our first and last cruise to be sure. I thought it would be a great way to see some of Europe, which it was. The ports were fantastic. I traveled with my daughters. The first few hours were fine. The cabin was very nice, except the bathrooms constantly smelled of urine. I cleaned the bathrooms, but the awful urine stench did not go ...
Really enjoyed this cruise! The atrium was a bit of a letdown as normally when you first walk on the ship that is the first thing you see and is normally quite grand. This was quite small and nothing exciting. Service was great as usual with Carnival. Purchased a shore excursion for each port with Carnival and was very pleased. You may pay a bit more BUT please know a lot of these ports are not ...
