Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Magic

Magic was my second cruise and is an easy ship to find your way around. I wish they would use better signage for all the washrooms on board. It was difficult to find washrooms on any floor even after your told where they are.( It’s not a big deal, but many others had the same problem.) We had a balcony cabin and our stateroom service was great. Su made sure everyone was comfortable and we had ...

We just got back from our 7 night Western Caribbean on Carnival Magic. We flew into Fort Lauderdale the evening before, and made a poor choice of staying at the Days Inn on Broward ave(stay away!), and took an Lyft to Port of Miami. We had a group of 13 people, ages from 5 to 71 years, so we took 4 different cars. We arrived at the port about 20 min prior to the assigned boarding time and ...

We chose this cruise for the best bang for the buck and other positive reviews for this ship and the cruise director. This was our second cruise and first with Carnival. Overall we are very happy with Carnival and had no real issues. We thought there was more food options included and available with Carnival vs royal carribean. My wife also won us a shore excursion and some jewelry. We also ...

Nice ship, but not a good experience with Carnival

My family (immediate, aunt, uncle, cousins, etc.) and friends all went on this cruise recently and it wasn't like a normal Carnival cruise. Usually on Carnival, there are so many things to do and so much entertainment that you have a hard time deciding what to do. On this cruise, there was limited entertainment - only a few shows and comedy seemed to be the highlight of every night. The comedy ...

Child-centered activities & passengers - we're cruising another line next time

We chose this ship based on the itinerary and date, with the main goal to escape winter. Our group: two 50-something couples. Overwhelming: so many American children, why were they not in school? Even the comedians had to dumb-down their shows (unsuccessfully, btw) for the early shows. The late shows were much better. Disney cruise line has more for adults to do than Carnival. The adult-only area ...

After my wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on Carnival Fascination in 2015, we were ready to jump back into it. After weeks of research, we finally settled on Carnival Magic with the seven day Western Caribbean itinerary, this time with our three children. I was a bit nervous about bringing our gaggle of kids with us, but they were so sad about not going with us the last time. I ...

Magic Trip following Nieuw Statendam

Chose this cruise after a two week Eastern/Western Caribbean on Nieuw Statendam because 2 weeks is not long enough for flying from Vancouver Island and Carnival Magic was going to Belize and Roatan where we hadn't been before. We also wanted to see how well Carnival did on a 7 day Caribbean Cruises as that seems to be their speciality. Like comparing Apples and Oranges but was pleasantly ...

I chose this cruise because I wanted a ship with the newer waterworks for the kids and the itinerary looked good. Overall everything was great. Embarkation- They have this down pat. We were sitting still in a line for about 10 minuets just before we were able to get on the boat, but it really was a breeze. Just make sure you have all your documentation ready to go. We stayed in 7358- an ...

Just off the Magic a day ago, had a "great time." Points I wanted to mention: 1) service in dining room and cabin was excellent, very friendly, all our needs met 2) check-in was shockingly quick, have cruised 20+ times, never had an embarkation like this, met right at door at pier building and had our boarding passes scanned and walked right onto ship, arrived about 10:30 and not sure if that ...

Magic 1/20.... One perfect cruise!

We booked this cruise because we love Honduras and Belize and in addition our niece was meeting us in Cozumel. We had just finished up 2 weeks on Sanibel island in the gulf on the western side of florida and it was a perfect fit before heading home. , First of all everything was truly easy without any major problems from start to finish. Anxiety about boarding, and leaving where gone as everything ...
