We chose this cruise for my parents 60th anniversary.... we had 6 balcony staterooms.......... prior to sailing our PVP assured us we would have no issue getting seating in the AFT dining room...... due to medical conditions for 4 of our group we purposely selected AFT cabins to make life easier....... we were NOT granted the seating in the aft dining room even when we said we had no problem ...
We chose this cruise for it's ports of call and the time of year. It was a large family trip with members flying in from all over the U.S. The check-in process was great! We had upgraded our room to larger rooms (with balcony's) at the very back (aft) of the ship. The Magic is old and in need of both cosmetic and structural repair. The thrusters were broken during the entire cruise which mean ...
This was a bad cruise experience to say the least. The crew was friendly and kind but it was painfully evident they were under staffed on a sold out cruise. We have cruised with Carnival before and this cruise was poorly planned and executed. 30+ minute wait in the buffet lines over and over, poor choices and mediocre food. We waited over an hour for our anytime dining (not at out convenience) ...
We went on the cruise with friends to show them how much fun cruising could be. We had to wait several hours to board even though we chose early boarding, the carnival hub didn't work, the dining halls were never opened on time, the food was only so-so and even though kids were not supposed to be running the halls at all hours, they did. The intercom system didn't work over most of the ship (or ...
Food was just so so. Never use anytime dinning, had to wait over an hour just to get a table. Then another hour to get you food. Portions were small especially the vegaetables which was very surprising. Salad was very blah.
Entertainment was the same people every night. Was to be a four port cruse, only went to three, but the gave us a $50 each credit. The entertainment in the bars was ...
Biggest complaint was the cabin as you can see from my review of the cabin. The Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana Cantina saved the day. We went to the dining room and that was just horrible. I forgot that the servers are forced to dance to the "delight" of the crowd. While this is going on everything stops. If your food has not been served it will be ice cold by the time it gets to you. we were ...
We initially chose this cruise based on the number of sea days (four) and ports we hadn't cruised to before (Amber Cove, Grand Turk & Half Moon Cay). We were warned about cruising on Carnival out of New York due to the crowds, etc., and failed to heed the warning. Our worst cruise so far and we most likely won't sail Carnival again, especially out of New York for a number of reasons. ...
This was our 23 Carnival cruise and was extremely disappointed. Upon our first use of shower the bathroom flooded. The first meal staff was scraping and stacking our plates at our table as we ate desert. We were served raw and I mean raw meat twice on lido. The eggs looked like soup. Everything was Luke warm at best many items have been removed. Only half the buffet was open on a full ship. ...
Our recent trip on Carnival was one that I wish we never booked. The boat is older and the employee's are angry. The boat is boring and the Cruise director is not very creative. The activities were more for assisted living entertainment. The shows were very good but it you spend two days at sea and the entertainment is Trivia and Bingo. The pools are just tubs. You can't swim in them and there ...
It was bad...never again will I cruise Carnival Magic and probably not Carnival again until they remember that the customer is why they are in business...their customer service was the worst. On top of that the shows were just an grade above a high school musical and the food was bland and tasteless. The port service started it out wrong by literally yelling at customers on embarkation and ...
