We are a Midwestern family of four with two young kids (8yo & 6yo) now two days removed from our ship with everything still fresh in mind. Make no mistake – our vacation was so much fun. However, in hindsight, I wish I knew a few things beforehand that made our vacation simply meh rather than amazing for these sailors.

-Fort Lauderdale Airport is nice enough, but the pickup area for ...
It’s so many negative things that I can say about this ship from the interior to the exterior. It’s a old ship, the carpet was dirty, the hallway stink very bad. The food was cold and out of order. We had more fun on the islands than we did on the ship.
I will say that I won $100 at the casino, and that was the highlight of my trip. Happy anniversary to me and my husband!
The cruise ...
Embarkation was very smooth and fast. We Ubered over from the airport. I found this faster and also cheaper overall. I would recommend this to anyone. We had a suite which afforded us some extra benefits. I have to say that once on the ship it was not set up for everyone to sit around waiting for their cabin. I would recommend that the dining rooms be opened up for the embarkation if for ...
This was a group cruise in Jan 2020 and was the eastern Caribbean. The ports visited were Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia, San Juan. We missed Grand Turk as the wind was too high to safely enter port.
The food highlight was the visit to the steakhouse (extra $$) but it was worth it. We visited the 2nd nite and was able to take advantage of promotion for free bottle of wine. We also brought wine ...
We are regular cruisers, and have sailed on Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity and RCL. We generally like Carnival, as it has the most in terms of activities and is usually a good price point for the quality- this trip however was VERY different. The staff are trying very hard, but there seems to be changes ( decrease) in quality even since our last sailing last December. It is most noticeable in ...
We did have a nice time on this cruise weather was pleasant. Just the type of people, the other cruisers incredibly rude.
We have done Carnival many times before. I did like the Magic better then Carnival Sunshine. Was a lot cleaner. Just some of the fellow cruisers just made it unpleasant. Will pay more to go with a luxury cruise line next time. Or just fly to our next vacay. We did a six day ...
First of all let me say this was my 16th cruise on Carnival in the last 8 years. All but one of those has been awesome until this one. This was a first cruise for my grown daughter and three nieces. My daughter & I had a deluxe ocean view cabin. While the shower pressure was fine, the water in both basins had very little pressure and the drains were almost clogged shut. Our room steward was ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary which did not disappoint at all! The service in the Cucina restaurant (special thanks to Nikoleta and Milicia who were wonderful) was top notch as was the food. We ate there 3x it was so good as was the steakhouse (1x). The Blue Iguana tequila bar had excellent service as well (Maryann, Borko and Richard are the best bartenders on the ship!).
What ...
First, I was to be front, and advise that I prefer RCCL, over Carnival. However, I had an incredible Players Club casino offer, eight nights for $373, interior cabin.
The interior cabin was standard accommodations. Very roomy for a solo traveler. My cabin steward, Randy was very attentive and promptly filled my requests.
FOOD: The Lido buffet on deck 10 had standard fare, adequate but not ...
Getting on an off the ship was very time consuming. Overall the cruise itself was an amazing experience. The islands were beautiful, and more than enough time to get off and explore them. The ship had SO many fun activities. There were so many things to do every hour it’s impossible to be bored. The food was great! I will certainly miss not having to cook all day. The crew were AMAZING. From the ...
