Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Magic

Embarkation was very smooth and fast. We Ubered over from the airport. I found this faster and also cheaper overall. I would recommend this to anyone. We had a suite which afforded us some extra benefits. I have to say that once on the ship it was not set up for everyone to sit around waiting for their cabin. I would recommend that the dining rooms be opened up for the embarkation if for ...

The first night I went to dinner and bit down on a piece of ceramic, it didn’t hurt initially but later I realized It chipped a tooth, all the response from the staff I got was a $55 spa gift card when the least expensive spa option was over $100. on the 4th day of the cruise I got the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had causing me to miss a whole day on land and spend a whole day ...

Carnival Magic Amazing Family Adventure

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Magic

I will start off by saying this was our first cruise. My wife, myself, and 4 children (21yr old, 15yr old, 14yr old, 6yr old). The ship is beautiful and truly amazing. The crew and staff were above even that. The entire crew & staff that we encountered really went above and beyond. From the cruise director (Simon), to our dinning server (Kevin who = GOAT), to the room steward (Nurhamid =my 6 ...

This was a group cruise in Jan 2020 and was the eastern Caribbean. The ports visited were Saint Maarten, Saint Lucia, San Juan. We missed Grand Turk as the wind was too high to safely enter port. The food highlight was the visit to the steakhouse (extra $$) but it was worth it. We visited the 2nd nite and was able to take advantage of promotion for free bottle of wine. We also brought wine ...

Having cruised multiple times on Royal C, Disney, and Celebrity we were accustomed to a certain level of service and quality. We chose this cruise solely on the fact the itinerary worked with everyone in our travel party's schedule. Embarkment- was easy enough-the employees seemed very stressed and not eager to answer basic questions. We figured things out on our own. Upon entering the ...

Waaaaay too many people!!! This ship is very large and designed to have a huge guest list. The only problem is that unless you can wake up at 6am to put a towel on a sun chair you won't get one. There is limited space to sit in the sun. Next if you have allergies you can tell the workers but the kitchen staff are not aware enough that they need to change utinciles and clean the cooking area to not ...

Just back from our Christmas cruise to the southern Caribbean. First time on the Magic and it was very enjoyable. Had a balcony cabin on deck 11 - our cabin steward serviced our room once per day - which was as we requested. Embarkation was perfect we arrived at the terminal at our stated appointment time and pretty much walked onto the ship. Rooms were available at 1:30pm and our luggage was ...

Lovely vacation (and a good value)

We sailed on the six-night itinerary to Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Nassau on December 15 as an early Christmas present to ourselves (side note: at $680 for a suite, it was a steal). The Magic is a lovely ship—this was our second time cruising on this ship, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a third. I've noticed that other reviews include a lot people complaining that it's run down, but I didn't ...

We are regular cruisers, and have sailed on Carnival, Norwegian, Celebrity and RCL. We generally like Carnival, as it has the most in terms of activities and is usually a good price point for the quality- this trip however was VERY different. The staff are trying very hard, but there seems to be changes ( decrease) in quality even since our last sailing last December. It is most noticeable in ...
