Our second cruise and first on Carnival. Liberty is in perfect condition with all the options we could ask for as a couple. Short lines to everything but the Mongolian Wok. Zipped through embarkation (we arrived at 4 pm) and all port days were just as efficient.
Activities start around 8 pm and so we would recommend to go for early dining as there is nothing going on between 6 and 8 pm - unless ...
This was my second cruise and it was a party of 8 of us from Virginia. We reserved 4 cabins (an inside, ocean view, balcony and a handicapped inside cabin) We planned this cruise 6 months in advance and embarked out of San Juan, PR and were set to sail on the Carnival Liberty. We were all very impressed with the welcome by the cruise staff, they had champagne/non-alcoholic drinks and lunch waiting ...
My husband and I planned this cruise since august 2014. So we were very excited about it. This was our second cruise with the Carnival Liberty. We did our first cruise with our daughter in December 2012. Karl was the cruise director then. We arrived at the port around 11:30 on the embarkation day and by 12:00 we were seated and having a meal. We then went back out and browsed around the ...
We have cruised several times on Carnival, but this is our first cruise on Liberty and from San Juan. We stayed couple nights in San Juan before boarding the ship and we had great time touring and eating in old San Juan.
Embarkation was slow, rough and lacked organization or disciplines. Disembarkation was a chaos that lasted for over 2 hours. This was the only bad part of the trip.
The ...
We went on the Carnival Liberty from Barbados back in December 2015.The boarding experience was very quick and easy, mainly due to the fact only 150 people boarded in Bridgetown, the rest of the people had boarded in San Juan. Puerto Rico.
The Carnival Liberty was a bit run down in parts but very good in most parts. When we went on Royal Carrabeans Independence of the Seas 2 years ago we used ...
After reading a few reviews of this particular cruise on the Carnival Liberty, I was a little bit apprehensive. However, overall my finace and I had a wonderful time. I found the food, entertainment, and bars to be top-notch (granted, we didn't see any of the musical shows). The cruise director Felipe was a little less entertaining/boisterous than I have experienced in the past, but I didn't mind. ...
We are a couple from UK. And flew in from London the day before. Stayed at the Caribe Hilton which was good.
we arrived at the Port around 12.30 and there was quite a crowd so we left our luggage with a Porter and strolled around San Juan. Returned half hour later and embarkation was swift due to having a suite. Love the suite, same layout as Valor and very spacious and comfortable. Kept ...
Overall it was a great ship.
In my review, I don't plan on it being day by day but rather an overall. Again, there are so many recent Liberty reviews I don't want to be repetitious and want to hit upon concerns and topics that were not discussed in those reviews so you can really get answers that you might have been looking for and couldn't find on other reviews.
Our group had 4 children ...
We cruised on the Carnival Liberty out of San Juan Nov 15th - 22nd 2015. This was our 3rd Carnival cruise in 4 years. While we enjoyed the Liberty, we will not cruise out of San Juan again.
While the Liberty seems dated, we did enjoy the way it was decorated. The dining room staff along with the room stewards met or exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed the comedians - both the PG and ...
We are baby boomers -- I had cruised on various cruise lines but he had never cruised before. We flew into San Juan the day before and stayed at Chateau Cervantes, in Old Town, just one block from the pier -- walked to the ship the next afternoon. Chateau Cervantes is a gem -- all suite hotel of 6 floors, gleaming tile, very clean! Good continental breakfast. The front desk was very helpful in ...
